Cica just keeps putting out quirky fun sim builds that I love, and her latest opened today.  When you land you can get a free alien avatar, but since I broke out my old male alt avatar, Malt, who hasn't seen the light of day since I updated him to mesh and he's so cute, I just decided to stay as-is for the tour.

Malt entered the sim under a bridge of what seemed like tangled gnarly tree roots.  I noted Cica says this about the sim in her profile and land info., "'Find out if you're still human, observe yourself from another planet'. Benny Bellamacina opening 4th July 2018". There are various vehicles you can fly around the sim on or walk over the odd terrain that bulges or seemingly belches out things n places. Some of the aliens move around.  Some of the armless, legless, antenna'd aliens are lined up trying to watch TV with a temporarily blocked view that appears to agitate them based on some of their expressions, while others are just standing around. There are also slugish/caterpillar type aliens on this world too.

This is a fun immersive experience and I'd recommend just keeping Cica's set windlight, as she always does a great job with lighting.  Of course I took a million photos and am posting a few here.

Valentine's Day Ball, 2-14-18 7pm SLT with Chillee Hernandoz and 8pm SLT with Savannah Coronet.

Extasia is an adult sim with some great explore areas.  The sim info. says:  " HUGE Mansion w/ private rooms, Beach, Islands, Clubs, Undersea, Pandora and much more! Everything is Free for your use and best quality anims in SL. Come explore the sim and have a great time." 

I ran into Chillee Hernandoz and Chayla who were working on the party venue, as they have a big Valentine's Day event coming up. Laria.Lusch works with Chayla on the builds and they've done an amazing job with a variety of venues to explore and use for events, or just hang out.  It's truly gorgeous.  The sim has been around for about 10 years with some design changes, but overall same feel. They have a variety of events and Chillie and Savvy sing there every second Wednesday. Nudity is permitted on the beach and in the mansion areas and private rooms but not in the Pandora caves, gacha resale area,  and at some events, etc. but the different areas are well marked. Come on out for the Valentine's Day Ball and stay and explore this cool sim.  You'll want to take a landmark and come back often.  There are so many different styled areas, details, and things to see and do.

SL14B, Second Life Annual Community Celebration Opening Day Sunday June 18th

The annual Second Life community/birthday celebration is underway and I stopped by for opening day as I was busy RL for the press day.  I have to say, there was one corner I was very excited about from the minute I saw it.   This was the area of Stupendous Stage Left, The Guardian, by Faust Stamer/Walton F. Wainwright , direct SLURL here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/SL14B%20Stupendous/119/200/26) which caught my eye.  Atop this creature sits a cool venue too that was filled with music and dancing visitors.  It's absolutely huge and delectably eclectic and steampunk looking in design. The 3 headed armoured creature moves its heads, blows steam out its nostrils, has a pool at its base you can walk in and be teleported up to the glass tented stage dance and show area he holds atop his back. And believe me, once you've climbed the many steps up to the initial pool, you are ready for that cool teleport. There are some other large and very nice builds in this general area and in all the sections of this huge 18 sim community celebration.

Hands MOVE and Music Matters in Second Life

 I just had to make a little video of my bento hands and head with a new bento AO. I LOVE the natural movements of the hands. SL hands and feet used to be high on my pet peeve list and new avatars will never know of the old block feet and unattractive hands pre-mesh. Now we have beautiful mesh bento body parts and bento movements. I'm so happy. The bento heads are also cool and the AOs for bento range from naturally subtle to downright obnoxious, based on brands, adjustments, and personal preference. Thank you SL for the many happy years and improvements! I am still tweaking my bento head but at least I have it on now. Loving the possibilities!

 In this video I'm wearing my music matters t-shirt. This is in support of a SL benefit to support music education, the first life campaign "Spread Music Now" program. The music matters in SL will hold a 2 day benefit for first life music education for children June 23rd and 24th. You can get your Music Matters t shirt in SL for just 50L each that goes to support the program. What a deal! They can be found in kiosks around the grid, or from AllieKattz Resident, who along with Carol Greenwood, are organizing the SL event filled with lots of SL live music.

I totally love this build by Cica Ghost, possibly because I could never get enough time in the library as a child growing up in spite of spending long summer hours in the library and then continued that love for libraries and books at each move in life.  This giant open air library that miniatures the avatars, is filled with stacks, shelves, and messy piles of books.  There are many seating/pose spots, you just have to click around to find some that are not so obvious.  There are fun things to find such as the cats that double as dance intans, and mushrooms, and various other unexpecteds, some of which are also pose spots, so click away.  The build is somewhat quirky again just like I love to see from Cica Ghost who happens to be one of my all time fave SL immersive artists.  She has quite a few great builds on her resume most of which I've blogged (check out her profile or search my search bar).  This might be one of my favorites by her too, although I might say that every time I blog her.  But this subject matter appeals to me as as does the build itself and the whimsical nature of the look about all her builds.  Be sure to visit her store and tip the sim if you can at the landing so that Cica continues to enhance our SL with her wonderful builds. Click around, cam around, run around, dance around, pose around, snap pics, play with a friend, enjoy.  The sim opened today and I have no clue how long it will run.  She often lets them run a while open ended until they are just gone and lately has been providing little to no description but this is apparently self explanatory or draw your own conclusions as to the meaning.  To me, I just enjoy it.

It's time for the original annual pose fair again and I stopped over to see some of the latest cool poses, pose props, animations, photography equipment, and studio merchandise.  Some stores even have dollarbies and gifts.  This is always a fun event to visit even if just looking, but I bet you don't get away without buying something cool!  Have fun.

5 Great Dance Shows Saturday!

There is a great group in SL for shows called Dance Queens.  If you enjoy dance shows, cabaret, burlesque, and theater this is a great group to belong too.  Cherri Banks of Dance Queens released this info. regarding Saturday shows.  I actually caught a couple of shows tonight, Friday, at The Empire Room and Gueerilla  Burlesque, so will use pics I took at those here as an example.  The press release states:

Jill Robinson founded Animals Asia Foundation (AAF) in 1998. The organization raises awareness of the inhumane methods used in bear bile, which involve bears living up to 25 years in small cages, with metal catheters inserted into their abdomens for bile extraction, or even open wounds through which the bile drips. The organization also works "to reduce the demand for bile in Asia by promoting affordable, effective and cruelty free alternatives." AAF headquarters is in Hong Kong, with sanctuaries in Vietnam and China. AAF has rescued more than 500 bears.
