I received this press release today about Bryn Oh's invitation to exhibit RL/SL for the Art And Algorithms digital festival held Oct 3-12.
Press release reads: "I was invited, by Gary Zabel, to exhibit at the Art & Algorithms digital festival in Titusville, Florida. The focus of my participation has been in the form of a retrospective of my work spanning from 2007-2014. http://artandalgorithms.com/
The other segement they will focus on is my region Immersiva and specifically The Singularity of Kumiko which will be available for their guests to navigate using a kiosk at the event in Florida. (I have informed Mr Zippers not to slaughter them while at Kumiko)
I have always resisted doing a retrospective of my work in the past and have created this one with a great emphasis on what members of my inworld group Immersiva have requested to see.
A few machinima examples of works included in part. All machinima can be seen by clicking the titles at location.

It will be held September 15th – October 1st, 2014 on Cursed. (It should be noted that Cursed is an Adult rated sim.) The Spiral opens at NOON on September 15th and closes at MIDNIGHT October 1st. Both times are Pacific Time (SLT).
The Spiral hosts 40 merchants bringing in their interpretations of the theme for the visitors to shop while enjoying the atmosphere and the music of the event. As always, Club Gothika’s Mobile Unit will be present in the event area and will be the heart of the music events.

Innsmouth, For Sale
Visit here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Innsmouth/128/128/25
Darmin Darkes put out notice today Innsmouth sim needs to be sold---- so if anyone can take this over that would be great, as I love this cool sim. Better hurry and visit before changes happen.
2-10-14 Limey Linden had this to say about the sim: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/EUREKA-The-Destination-Guide/Innsmouth/ba-p/654601
"Innsmouth is a dark, foggy 1930s New England coastal town. The buildings are crumbling or derelict and residents are few, but if you listen carefully, you can hear... things......
Innsmouth is deeply influenced by American writer H.P. Lovecraft, who was active in the 1920s and 1930s."He's notorious for his murky prose," say Darmin, "but his strengths were in creating the underlying mood of impending doom and the deeply constructed mythos that is all part of his stories. He created an entire pre-history of our planet and the stars with his race of elder gods and their influences upon us. The sim loosely echoes the the situation of the story The Shadow Over Innsmouth with a few references to The Colour Out of Space and other bits of Lovecraftian mood."."

Mystery Sim Opening Tonight 9-9-14 8pm SLT
Visit here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Tropical%20Escape/230/201/21
Ok, so it's not REALLY a mystery, but I had big plans of making a video, taking photos, blogging and spamming this place and didn't. Since it done/made I just decided to open it to the public. I'll make a video or pics later. You all can come visit and enjoy it too though now. It's just my homestead open temporarily to the public. I'll let you check it out for yourselves though, but what I will say is I think it's good for dates, photography, hanging out and having fun and playing with friends and family, exploring, etc.. Please don't feel the need to critique it, as I'm not a builder and I just put together things I really like and want to share it with everyone for a while. I probably won't have it open all that long, but a few weeks at least. I hope you enjoy it! xoxo KT

Prelude to an Arcade Gacha Event!
Arcade Gacha event is now open through the end of the month. Official web site and all info. here: http://thearcadesl.com/
Today, Sept. 1, the latest Arcade Gacha is open and, alas, full as expected. They have a new area and atm I can see about 67 people in that area according to the map. So I noticed a close sim on the map that has quite a few people in the nearest corner (29 people in this quarter of the sim atm) and teleported. They have called it "Gacha waiting area". Visit here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Xabat%20City/254/0/35
Some intelligent entrepreneur rented the quarter sim closest on the map to the Arcade and has set up rental picnic tables for rent for 300L per week for people to set up their left over duplicate gacha wares to sell second hand. Pretty bright idea. Meanwhile gacha fans can shop here or stand in the corner trying to be closest to get in next to the full Gacha Arcade. There are also a few play things so it's been a bit of a social visit this morning for me in spite of never getting into Arcade from there. It actually was fairly entertaining from this spot as the visitors checked out the tables and grumbled about not getting into Arcade and someone who would not fess up or even give info on where they got the product when I asked put word text bubbles out around us. There were about 10 of us at this spot in the sky at one point and some on the ground and a few out in the water a ways and then people on the land, but I snapped a pic of just a few of us so hopefully you can see the words close enough to read.
Anyway, good luck getting into Arcade. It's open for the entire month so I imagine I will get in some time. I have seen some previews of items in the event (check the web site link above) and I'm pretty much wanting some of those sashes with various saying and some other things I've seen, so I must get in.
(top photo, me and a couple of the many waiting to get in, middle pic, the land near the Arcade we were waiting in, and bottom pic is straight from the web site with a peek at some of the items available at the event, but do check their site for big nice pics and info.)
ADDENDUM... so as the day winds down, my friend and gacha queen, Kathy Nikolaidis, magically gets into Arcade gacha on day one (as usual) and passes me a few key items. Earlier I had purchased a new dress for myself, so when Kathy sent me a special appropriate sash, I had to make a late day photos to add to this blog post.. thanks Kathy!
ADDENDUM ADDENDUM: Then Kathy sent me a avatar from Arcade, and it was a pug lol.. she had on this fox, so I couldn't resist putting my pug on and we took pics... so cute!
