"Rusty"; A fun place to visit this Sunday. Cica has created another little gem for us to explore filled with rusty geary almost steampunky industrial type builds you can play in, pose in, dance in and ride in. As always the set windlight is great. Be sure to walk the skywalks and get your free boxing gloves to enjoy a match with friends. The build is filled with fun creatures to look at and interact with. Mad World, MadPea and a Great Video, The Drax Files: World Makers [Episode 47: Mad World]

Mad Pea continues to offer some great games, explores, fantastic builds, and prizes. Draxtor does a great job documenting some of this and interviewing Kiana Writer.  Both well worth further exploring.

I visited Mad World, and as the video says, there is a lot to see and do in Mad World.  I took a few pics as usual and won't say so much even though there is SO much I love, because the video explains some of it very well and you should really just visit and see for yourself! I will mention there are multiple escape rooms, rides, a kitty litter game and so so much more in this huge well designed area.

Elysion created The Upside Down, in Stranger Things style, by Syn Beresford.  If you are familiar with the show, Stranger Things, I think you will love this sim. The original Elysion is also a great place to explore and enjoy some impressive events too.  I've blogged them before if you want to search to the right for more info.  Anyway, I just wanted to get this sim on the blog as I enjoy the show and this sim is a cool build.

MAZE, The Calas Galadhon's Halloween Sim 2018

Many people, including myself., eagerly await the annual Calas Galadhon's Halloween sim build by Ty and Truck.  And now....It''s here! Yay.. So I went in on the group VIP early entry.  At the landing is a little story line and info.  The build has 3 sections: The base camp, which includes the boat tour, The druids circle entered via portal, and The Caverns which is a smaller darker maze leading to the dig and the live music venue. So, I rode the elevator up and grabbed my helmet, torch, and backpack and started my explore.  As usual, the build has a huge feel to it.  I was doing great, enjoying the sights and adventure, breezed right through the big maze, and then I hit the caverns and got SOoooo lost.  I joined people at various times on my journey.  One guy and I literally were lost for a very long time in the dark caverns but eventually claimed our prizes and made our way to the end.  Super super- cool explore! They soon will have live music and events in the larger dance area, which was my final destination when exploring. This is a must see destination.  And while you need to walk it in order to work your way all the way through, you HAVE to take the boat ride first!

Asian Isle, Tian Ya Hai Jiao

This sim is owned by Laurellll.  Profile notes about the sim say: "Swing by to relax, have a blast in a petal boat, or roam around in a golf cart!" [sic]

This beautiful sim has a large bay surrounded by docks and boardwalks and is backed by a plateau topped mountain. You can paddle boat or drive the carts around the lower bay area.  The water has some letters in it that I am not able to read, but see below for more info.  The upper area has some beautifully landscaped areas, buildings and seating areas for relaxing. There are paths all around in park like settings, a cute building around back and great lighting. Overall it's a pretty romantic explore with plenty of photo ops.

So I googled Tian Ya Hai Jiao and found some interesting info. on the first life place which I will quote here. "
Tian Yai Hai Jiao, literally "end of the world/earth" in Chinese, is a world famous seaside scenic area of Sanya, the southmost city of China. Strictly speaking in geography, the Chinese name of this scenic area runs counter to the fact, however, its artistic conception, which comes from a loyal and steadfast love legend in the ancient times, brings huge fame to it. The story goes it that a couple deep in love was forced to broke up and run away from their home because of family feud. Chased after their families, they escaped to this place; however, their love was not still forgiven and they had no choice but jumped into the sea with the wish of staying in the sea together forever. Touched by their love, later generations decided to commemorate them by carving "天涯 (Tian Ya)" and "海角 (Hai Jiao)" on the two huge rocks the couple turned to be, signifying their love will never die even in the end of the world. I always find it extra fun to see places in Second Life that represent first life locations I'll never see in first life, and then learn a little more about that place.

"The Girl Who Cried Wolf" by Cica Ghost

The sim info.simply states: "Modification of Aesop's fable The Boy Who Cried Wolf."

When I first entered the sim the large plateau topped hilly landscape with plenty of smooth boulders and flowers all around greeted me under a darkened rolling sky that was laced with lighter contrasts and some streaks of reds. I cammed around to see a huge wolf with ratlike face and ears and beady eyes, who was chasing a herd of sheep.  Of course I clicked... and rode that rangy beast.  I then visited the cottage, had a seat in one of it's two chairs and rested while I cammed some more of the landscape.  There is a giant young girl who appears to be pointing the way to the sheep and wolf for a young boy playing a flute sitting atop a boulder surrounded by white flowers. I could hear his flute in the sim music intermixed with springy bouncy sounds.  I had to wonder if perhaps he was the pied piper but then I got confused wondering if the girl was trying to show the piper where the beady eyed wolf was, so that he might pipe the wolf away from the sheep he was chasing. I mean if he is a rat wolf it's possible that piper could lead him out with his pipe and save the day!:! Right? .. But my imagination might have run away from me and mixed up the stories.  Anyway, the sim is super cool.  Cica always does a great job with lighting and sounds and making huge awesome things, some of which can be clicked on for poses, seating, dancing, and riding.  I always enjoy Cica's builds a lot, and Cica does a great job of putting out plenty of things for SL residents to see and enjoy.  This creation come just on the tail of the last, Daydreams, which I blogged here: https://karasecondlife.blogspot.com/2018/08/daydream-by-cica-ghost-lose-yourself-in.html   Be sure to tip Cica's tip jars if you can, so we can continue to get great builds like this to enjoy. Cica also has a store where you can tp and buy some fun past creations.  And don't forget to look up, as there are some fun things atop those plateau's you can click on and enjoy too.

St. Martin, Kekeland Bardeco

This sim seems to be owned by Belle des Champs (Bridget.genna) built by Dandy Warhlol (terry Fotherington)

The sim info. states:

This is a great sim to explore and hang out in, just be sure to get all the way around as there are lots of cool places to see and potentially miss. You can enjoy Italian streets and buildings, a more run down trailer park area, the beach, and some ruins.  There are plenty of pose or play spots and lots of seating to hang out with friends. Overall this is a very beautiful place to visit.
