Many people, including myself., eagerly await the annual Calas Galadhon's Halloween sim build by Ty and Truck.  And now....It''s here! Yay.. So I went in on the group VIP early entry.  At the landing is a little story line and info.  The build has 3 sections: The base camp, which includes the boat tour, The druids circle entered via portal, and The Caverns which is a smaller darker maze leading to the dig and the live music venue. So, I rode the elevator up and grabbed my helmet, torch, and backpack and started my explore.  As usual, the build has a huge feel to it.  I was doing great, enjoying the sights and adventure, breezed right through the big maze, and then I hit the caverns and got SOoooo lost.  I joined people at various times on my journey.  One guy and I literally were lost for a very long time in the dark caverns but eventually claimed our prizes and made our way to the end.  Super super- cool explore! They soon will have live music and events in the larger dance area, which was my final destination when exploring. This is a must see destination.  And while you need to walk it in order to work your way all the way through, you HAVE to take the boat ride first!

Here we go again.. the greatly anticipated annual Halloween sim by Ty Tenk and Truck Meredith that is always unique and always a great explore and fun time.  I won't say much as it really just needs to be seen and explored by everyone.  These are always some of the best SL has to offer and not to be missed.  A few bits from the notes then some teaser pics.  A hint:  follow the guide persons and lights.  There are so many options, I'm not gonna lie, yes I did get lost in the lower passageways for quit some time. (again keep in mind my poor laptop is aging and wont do it justice and should be experienced in person, plus somewhere along the way my windlight got changed and I eventually noticed and put it back to the sim windlights so some pics look very diff in diff lighting) ....

At the landing grab the note card and enjoy their suggested windlights. Listen to the sounds, try all the passageways, savor it all... it's not about making it to the mothership quickly it's about the adventure. Oh, and don't forget to tip, it's worth it and we want to see these special sims continue for years to come. Thanks and enjoy.

Level One: The Cargo Ship “CS UTOPIA”. The ship is large so you’ll want to explore ALL areas of the ship. A ‘PORTAL’ to the next level is also found here.

Level Two:  The moon’s surface. Both the DARK MOON SHUTTLE TOUR & the CAVERN ENTRANCE can be found there. Arrows will help point the way. There is no Portal at this level, but the way to the next level is clear.

Level Three: ‘THE CAVERN & EGG ROOM’ the cavern is a very large one and has several levels of its own. You will want to take your time in the cavern as you travel DOWN to its floor. "

Level Four: The Mothership- at the moon's core.  Music venue and ultimate destination.

These super cool pictures have multiple animations, sounds, and various other options.  This video does not do them justice as my poor laptop isn't so great for video any more but you can get the idea.. a must-see in person.  These are made by my friend Will Burns/Aeonix Aeon in Second life.  Halloween is coming!

Happy Halloween.  I found these cute inexpensive dresses with a hud changer for 5 totally different Halloween looks.  We went over to the duet sim and snapped a few pics.  I was going to list the info but would rather direct you over to Kathy's blog if you are interested in purchasing the dresses, hair, details etc.  She has a great blog, takes great pics, so please just look there for that.

This sim officially opens October 23rd  2pm SLT but has been open while in the works for a little bit  and is already on the destination guide under haunted houses so people are free to start exploring.  SAMHAIN-Bullring House of Horrors Experience runs from Oct 23-Nov 13th.  For more information visit their official web site here: http://www.bullringfamily.com
At the landing you can grab a hud or explore on your own. The BRM Entertainment group is putting it on and Sim Design, concept and everything is all the groups. The Trisks were on hand and they can answer questions if help is needed navigating the sim.  You don't want to miss anything.  They are the designated sim helpers. There are a few notices at landing about suggested lighting, how the experience works,  etc.

Many of us traditionally think of Samhain as the festival of the dead, summer's end and celebration of the end of harvest and the start of the cold half of the year or winter.  It's also known as the beginning of the spiritual new year and often celebrated on Halloween / October 31st. This sim does seem to fit this idea only in a much darker way. I took a few pictures but since it was so late I didn't make it all the way through and look forward to exploring the rest of it.  What I did see was VERY cool.

Be sure to turn up your sounds and click on things.  This is my kind of explore.. very interactive and highly detailed. Some other visitors passed me a flashlight which helped with picture taking and so I wouldn't get so lost.  Be forewarned, there are dangers. There are freebies and prizes. I took  a million pictures.  More can be seen on my Flickr and I took even more in my computer but it was an embarrassingly large number of pics so didn't post them all. The pumpkin patch is really cool.  If you get stuck just forge ahead or ask a Trisk for help.  There are hidden places. The graveyard is fantastic and the main haunted house is very cool with unique effects I haven't seen in SL before. It was super creepy, scary even for real, and I got lost but that was ok as when I went around I saw things I'd missed before. The haunted house is hands down my fav this year! This is a must see sim.

According to their web site the sim opened October 6 and will remain open 2 months for Halloween.  I have to say this is one of the most detailed sims I've seen for Halloween.  True to their ongoing quality, Neva and Keon's sim builds flow well and it is going to take me some time to explore it fully but I wanted to get it posted so others can get right into exploring it too.  It looks seriously cool all over.  I started with the sim windlight which works great but when I took an aerial view picture I did change the windlight to show everything better as its a little dark and well, Halloweenish.  The sim info. states: "We hope to see you all in the Foggy Swamp during the next 2 months, to have a great time exploring and enjoy the scenery as we tried to do our best in giving you a special Halloween feeling!

Halloween Town by Laura Liberty Now Open

Laura Liberty's Halloween town is open!  This is always a fun sim to play in and it has tons of pose spots, a long fun haunted house sort of tour through horror movies, plenty of Halloween products to buy and freebies.  Laura always makes her sims fun and interactive.  She's added new features this year too so check it out.  Cash and I took some pictures for the blog.

Calas Galadhon's Halloween sim opens Saturday October 1st!.  Their land info. states: "With the beginning of its 7th year , Calas Galadhon brings SL its 2016 Halloween build 'NEVERLAND' ... the spirit of the season with the mix of beauty and terror that you can expect from CALAS this time of year :)"

The sim by Ty Tenk and Truck meredith is always a crowd pleaser.  They are well known for the Calas Galadhon sims and their special holiday sims that are always amazing.

This sim is simply enchanting.  Amidst all the things of wonder and beauty there are things of danger and horror.  Take a fantasy gondola ride through the area or walk on foot. There is much to see see so keep your eyes open.  You can look for mermaids, caves, monsters, places to pose, rest or dance, and a portal that leads to the events area. The sim is highly detailed and truly a must see sim to explore. I don't want to give it all away with the pictures as it's just the beginning of the season to visit, but it's so big and full I'm sure I didn't see a fraction of it, yet I saw so much.  It's a sim one has to go back to again and again to really see and experience it all. This is truly the quality we've come to expect of Ty and Truck.
