Justin Ashton at Jagged Edge

Tonight was my first experience hearing Justin Ashton (Justindarkside) sing in SL.  Just wow.!  He played piano and sang a string of ballads and was a huge crowd pleaser. His musical talent is clear and he sounded amazing.  He came highly recommended by Toxie Darkmatter another great singer in SL and she wasn't kidding .. this guy is great.  Be sure to check him out when you get a chance. Well worth seeking out.  If you hurry you might still be able to catch a bit of his set tonight. He's currently doing a medley of Queen songs.  Nailed them all!  Serious talent here.



His profile indicates he's just a couple of months into SL but that's just since he's come back to SL  this time. He has a bit of a sexy Scottish accent when he speaks : )

Fantastic Three, Toxic Trio, Music a' Trois, Threeplayers, Triple Treble Trouble.... Jorrdan Jarman, fondly known by many as "just Jorr", owner and mgr. of Whispering Sands Live Promotions, has added yet another cool feature to his SL live music promotions. He's recently added a radio station player to his web site which benefits not only those who can't make it into SL but want to enjoy SL live music in RL, but also those who can't make it to the live music sim a particular artistic might be singing at by streaming on their land, and it also greatly benefits the live music venues.  I have even appreciated hearing a musician singing on it and announcing where they are by naming the venue then people can teleport over.  Of course his web site also does a great job of clearly stating where the musicians are singing and when.  The site is very well organized and professionally made and managed. Jorr has the ability to switch the radio station over from a live musician who is actually singing live in SL at the time or back to his live musicians stream music so it's live musicians all the time sometimes in real time live.

  I can't say enough about how well Mr. Jarman does this job. He's a very hard working professional when it comes to WSLP who not only works long hours in RL at a different career, but also in SL and RL with this as well. The musicans tend to get a lot of attention and I guess that's his job making them look good and getting their information and music out there, and that he does. But quite frankly this guy really does an impressive job and deserves kudos himself for this.  If you instant message him inworld you will auto-receive an option to get a free WSLP VIP hud with just one acceptance click.  If you pop that hud on and click a tab on it, you can go directly to their site and directly to either their radio station, daily schedule, performer list, in case you want to book them or see a bio., etc or the direct spot to contact a manger. He's got a great group of people working for him and Winter Fleur has been a great  longtime asset to his company as well as numerous others.


Jorr and Keileigh.galaxy Jarman manage the WSLP building and Jagged Edge music venue. They occasionally host parties or other events there.  Every Sunday from about 9-11pm SLT at the WSLP building they host a karaoke night.  Everyone is welcome to participate or just hang out and enjoy the music and they generally have a nice crowd including some of their professional musicians as well as those who who are new and just want to try their hand at singing live in SL or want to get off to a good start singing in SL I've never tried it myself, but I do enjoy listening to the old timers and newcomers alike. They are a very welcoming and friendly group. The office has all the info. you need about the agency too-see link above.

I've blogged this group several times before because I'm just super impressed with what they are doing, and I'm continuously impressed at the new artists they add to their group as well as the new features they add to their web site and ways they promote live music in SL.  Check out their web site if you haven't and get your free WSLP hud for ease of access. to see one of my favs GregKat 24 for a fun show then Marqs DeSade followed and announced it was his rez day AND Elvis' birthday today!  Woot.! Anyway .. they popped out a cake and dancer for him and dropped balloons for everyone to pop while dancing.

I know I would.  And that's part of the reason I went over to the Whispering Sands Life Promotions Listening Library over at Kennedys and took MAlt, you know, my male alt brother MitchL, to get a guy version of their cool t-shirt, and he and I posed for a pic in front of  their promo/sale board.  When you purchase their shirts off the board there you are automatically entered into a raffle drawing and the winner gets a show of choice from their musicians in Jan. So while MitchL looks hot in his black shirt with the cool WSLP logo on back, he has a chance to win too! While there you can subscribe to get a daily list of where their musicians are playing and times for each day.  You can also relax in the couch or hang out and see more about their musicians and listen to some of their music.  The fronts of the mesh shirts are classic black in a good cut so MitchL looks great.  They have male and female versions and for L250 its a good deal PLUS the chance to win a show. Tonight I'm hanging out at the sweet Jagged Edge venue listening to one of SL's newest live musicians, Nathan Price, whose been around in SL for almost 8 years but has just recently begun doing full shows.  This talented young musician is an awesome singer and guitar player with a good stage presence too.   His Whispering Sands Live Promotions profile states: " Nathan Price, professional singer/songwriter, brings to sl his amazing raw acoustic voice with guitar and mixed genre. This seasoned, multi-instrumental musician can also play not only his guitar but ukulele, piano, harmonica and always a possible extra too. I'd like to take a moment/post to mention that while I love to attend live music events in SL, there are so many and it's sometimes difficult to determine exactly how to get to them even if using the live music search and SL events calendar.  Whispering Sands Live Promotions has the most organized group I have ever seen in SL Live Music.  They make it so easy for me that I've found myself promoting them too so that my friends can enjoy this ease of access in finding some of the best SL musicians.  It's also a good resource for independent musicians, fans, and even those under other mgt as they feature various services and promotions as well as information.  I am in their subscribo and as an example, they sent out this note today with the day's lineup of their events.  It has each listed with a direct link.  I can't add the links here unless I turn them into SLurls and that would be a lot of work for me to do and I'm lazy, but if you get their notes by subscribing they have the quick click lm right on it.  Also you can visit their very well organized and managed web site and look under events and you will have all the info. right there for a link in to the shows.  They even have options and thing  for fans.  So be sure to check them out.  And now here is their lineup for today:

Happening Things Around the Grid Review

I'm doing a weekly little voice piece on SL Live radio reviewing events and fun stuff I like around the grid.  You can hear this 2 x during the Slow Bake show with DJ Soni between 12noon SL and 2pm SLT each Sunday.   More info. about her show at the bottom of this page.  I'm trying to post about what I say here too for readers on weeks that I get around to it.   Listen in to hear more each week from myself and DJ Soni. SL's Got Talent wraps up this week with winners to be announced on Saturday and a 25K 1st place prize to be awarded.  (Round Two, which will be held on Monday, 19th October 2015 starting at 5pm SLT at the Bluebyrd Entertaiment Resort.  The contestants moving on to Rounds two are as follows: Angela McKeenan, Cordeliasloan Resident, Hedy Patrucci, Jeffah, Katiaportugal Genesis, Khiron Ametza, Ladyrok Resident, LeeWinegarden, libertybell Lyric, Mittycoon, Miss Cast, Singsong4u Resident.

Featuring Toxic Darkmatter

I'm finally getting this little sample bit of a video up here.  Toxic Darkmatter is one of my fav SL singers.  She not only sings with that smooth sexy voice,  but she is a great entertainer too.  She sings a variety of genre from current dance hits, to 70s and 80s tunes to several parodies, some a capella, and some originals.

I've taken a few pics at some of her shows because she and her attendees always seem to get into some extra fun. She has her stakers with big bushes, the hot Toxie for the Hot Child in the City, pole dancers at the VooDoo Lounge, and more crazy stuff all the time.

AMForte Clarity was the big August winner over at ArtistSignal and while she played her last set at Kennedy's last night the news came in she received the most votes on Artist Signal where you can see, hear, and vote for many of your fav SL artists.  She was so excited she almost broke down with a little crying in joy during her set when the vote tally was announced.  AM is so sweet she repeatedly thanked all her SL fans and supporters.  She plays multiple sets in SL almost daily and in the past has won the SL live musician of the year awards and is always one of the favored musicians in high demand.  This is a well deserved win for a great long time SL musician with many fans.
