HuMaNoiD is Back at LEA6
I made this above video in 2013 when the original HuMaNoiD was a popular place to visit. It later closed but is temporarily back at LEA6. I was so excited to hear about this and ran over for a look and was pleased to find most of the original features by Wendy Xeno. Some things have changed a little but the magic doors and places remain. This is a must see. Visit here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/LEA6/206/80/22

SL12B, Happy Birthday Second Life Open June 21-28

The Second Life 12th Community Birthday Party opens 6-21-15 and their official press release info. states:
"Spanning 15 regions with over 200 exhibits and more than 600 performers, disk jockeys and speakers, SL12B is a showcase for the accomplishments and content of all SL residents, celebrating the anniversary of Second Life© leaving its initial beta in 2003.
The SL© "Birthday" event started 12 years ago as a parade through mainland regions. It has since evolved into the Resident-run event you see today .
On the 23rd of June, Second Life© will be officially twelve years old. Our hard-working staff of Resident volunteers, coupled with hundreds of other Resident creators, have been busily preparing for our annual birthday bash—laying down the groundwork (literally) for you to celebrate.
The event kicks off at 12:00 p.m. SLT on Sunday, the 21st of June and runs through Sunday, the 28th of June, with a glittering assortment of musicians, speakers, artists, business leaders, media mavens, merchants, social organizers, and other amazing Residents like you. We’ll be keeping the 15-region site open for another week, so you’re welcome to come and tour the builds at your leisure."
More info. on the theme is as follows: "This year's theme for the SL12B Community Celebration is "What Dreams May Come."
The line is part of the "To be, or not to be..." soliloquy from Shakespeare's Hamlet. It later became the title of a book by Richard Matheson, then an Academy Award winning movie.
Unlike our physical world, everything we see in Second Life© was born out of the stuff of dreams. For some, these dreams are what they aspire to, while others seek to recreate that which is unattainable in their lives.
Some may craft elaborate worlds of gleaming gold, while others may descend into the netherworld, portraying realms of flame and darkness.
Still others may have dreams of a simpler variety: a nice house, a picket fence, and a perfectly green lawn. All dreams, big and small, are valid and welcome."
There is also a hunt: "About the SL12B Nano Hunt, provided by Hunt SL:
For the second year in a row, we will be holding a hunt at the event. For additional information and a list of participants, please see" :
http://www.slcommunitycelebration.info/sl12big-hunt/
I went in for press day for some early info. and pictures. I was greeted by Doc Gascoigne, Marianne McCann and Harper Beresford near The Station SL12B Welcome Area which is a super cool armed (as in it has arms like a creature) train that magically snakes off into the distant sky fading to invisible. I checked out some other areas and first tp'd to the giant cake stage by Mikati Slade. The HUGE cake is pretty impressive, in her typical style, and has freebie gifts around. Check out the web site or landing station area for event lists and locations as there are several stage areas. Then I visited Grazietta Cazenove's parcel which is a domed area filled with her art that includes 3 d matching props and is along the lines of dreamy art which matches the birthday theme. Once again they have the pod tours you can hop on and enjoy a narrated tour. They have a great freebie gift area again and the annual time capsule. The Flickr group for photos is here: https://www.flickr.com/groups/sl12b/

The Dirty Grind: Where it Was Raining Babies and Plans for a Carnival of the Arts
Visit here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Fender/128/128/27
Tonight I re-visited one of my favorite SL live music venues and a great sim to explore, The Dirty Grind at Jasmine's Hollow. They were having a surprise 10th rez day party for singer Beth Odetes. The lineup was as follows:
4p Bat Masters Burton
5p Matthew Perreault
6p Shannon Oherlihy and Beth Odets
7p Beth Odets
The Sim is owned by Jasmine/Lisa and Ian Witt. Lisa always does an amazing job decorating this sim. I love to explore it over and over. In general it is a steampunk theme with a lot of nature and coolness mixed in. She often makes new sets for special events and the theme of Beth's party was "Ot's raining babies".. apparently you have to be familiar with this .....https://www.facebook.com/lilolive13/videos/632239210240700/?pnref=story a little bit of an inside joke I guess but the set was out on the lake .. with a HUGE umbrella and rain boots and smaller poseable umbrella boats alone with huge raindrops, rain and, yup, you guessed it.. many many babies both static and falling from the sky! :) Anyway, we had a great time and I took a few pics. I've blogged the sim before, as there is always something cool going on or to see so search the search bar if you want to read and see more from the past. Now Lisa is working on a Carnival of the Arts which will open June 18-22. I never know what to expect, so I'm looking forward to it. Be sure to check it out.
Panther Dolls Season Final Routine
Many of you know I've been cheering this season with the great ladies of The Panther Dolls in the UFL. We had a lot of fun and lost to the Bills in the finals last night, but the Bills are undefeated and will play in the season final this coming Sunday so we had our work cut out for us. Great season Panther Dolls and Panthers and thanks for the fun times United Football League of Second Life.

Joe Borowsky Reveals his "Soul Vision" Debut Album in SL Today
Visit here: http://www.joeborowsky.com/bio/
4pm SLT Soulvision (Joe) presented and reviewed his album and talked about his first life and music during the show that is happening as I type this up. Hopefully you can hurry over and hear him here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Trax/128/128/27, but if not he plays around SL with Dirval Music Associates. His SL Manager is Carol Greenwood.
So now we know more about this professional musician who has his own music school. As his blog site says, "Just who is Joe Borowsky? A singer, songwriter, humanitarian, spiritualist, teacher and mentor." And he's great. Just check him out around SL some time soon!

The Arcade Gacha and The Most Wanted
Gacha Arcade Galley here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Gacha%20Galley/128/128/0
The lastest edition of The Arcade gacha opened June 1st and while I still have not been able to get into this seemingly always full sim I have made it to the overflow galley. So the above direct link is the landmark for the ship that sits just within cam/buying range. You can swim over from there if the actual Arcade sim is not full or use my search bar for past posts about The Arcade for a direct link.
I was able to cam and get what I wanted that way and that's fine because I was in good company and I've been around long enough to know how to cam well. But they do give out a notecard with instructions on how to set preferences to be able to cam and reach all the arcade machines if a person is not familiar with that. Anyway, my gacha addict friend Kathy Nikolaidis turned me on to these cute Arcade Gacha wanted placards by Intrigue Co. There are a WHOLE bunch of different placards with funny sayings, so really something for everyone. Kathy and I were skilled (er I mean lucky, wait luck has nothing to do with it really as we both played until we got what fit us perfectly.) enough to get the following placards...... too perfect. At any rate there are a lot of super cute items to be had again and you can check out the options here at the official Arcade Gacha site: http://thearcadesl.com/ They even have a photo contest so be sure to check out the info. and rules. And as Kathy says, Orange is the new black. I thought grey and sometimes even invisible was the new black, but for today.. Orange is the new black. Gacha!

Flux Sur Mer
Visit Flux Sur Mer here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Flux%20Sur%20Mer/128/128/22
Apparently I was a day late and a dollar short for the Flux Sur Mer grand opening day and party yesterday. I was aware of it and even previously saw it blogged by Ziki Questi and planned to go but got too busy. So I missed the crowd and am now enjoying this beautiful French country sim with a few other visitors. From what I see from other bloggers and Flickr, a crowd they did have. It's understandable as this scenic sim is full of natural beauty with places such as a many woodsy areas tucked away from the surrounding beachs, a yard sale area, fishing, dorms and rentals, multiple beautiful buildings and relaxing loung areas, all quaintly decorated with beautiful detail. The 3 large islands are wonderfully connected and includes a large beautiful stone bridge way that is great for photography. Their are large ships off the shoreline and so many details quite that frankly the whole place is great for taking pictures, and many can already be seen all over Flickr.
Their sim info. states: "lux Sur Mer is a detailed and artistically developed French country estate/ full sim, stunningly brought to life by creator and designer Nic Bour (nicbor resident), along with custom mesh designer Imoken Neox." The sim is owned by Mya Richards and managed by Posh Jones. It sounds like this sim may not be intended to last forever so be sure to head over and enjoy some time on this beautiful sim.
