Visit Dandelion Daydreams Factory here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Dandelion/128/128/21
in Fantasy Faire here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Poppetsborough/128/128/52
I'm still sorting through blogger packages for the Fantasy Faire as previously blogged. I came across 2 very different types of full avatars that are unique and delightful. The first is a gacha item from Dandelion Daydreams Factory and is one of 15 unique "Paper Poppets". These whimsical full avatars look just like paper dolls. They bend and move and have just a tiny bit of depth to them. They have tabs on the back that give the appearance of paper clothes on paper dolls. They are ony 149L each at the promo price found at the main sim link above. The sim itself is gorgeous to explore too. I'll just copy their sim info. here as it says it well... "Coolest place ever...
Play, Relax, Enjoy ! Home to Fantavatar & Moonstruck, Lilith's Den, [ Oblivion ], The Wishbringer Quest, Adventure, Romance, Hangout, Forest, , nature, Fantasy, shopping, Dance, Photography, Eternal Love Hunt, Green Rose Manor, cuddle, romantic". Owned by Runa/alrunia ahn Luna Barak, a real talent in SL. If you put on your doll be sure to play around in Poppetsborough in the Fantasy Faire as they have a whole little town built in the same style that is super cute-see 2nd direct link above.

Visit Fallen Gods here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Selidor/128/128/2
They sponsor the Odyssey section of Fantasy Faire here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Odyssey%20FF/128/128/2
Next I found these petite sea sprites by Fallen Gods. Fallen Gods is very well known in SL for their amazing fantasy skins and other things fantasy. Their current sim info. reads, "Explore and enrich your Second Self with a look that can flow from elf to werewolf, from demon to pixie, from fae to drow, from mermaid to vampire, from angel to human... Fantasy skins, shapes, eyes, outfits, tattoos, petites. Libertine Furniture." Alia Baroque's profile states......Owner and Creator of Fallen Gods Inc., Libertine and the Arcipelagus. http://fallengodsinc.blogspot.com/ This is also a great sim to explore. The adorable Fallen Gods sesa sprites for Fantasy Faire are super cute petite avatars and although they are sea sprites I added some fun ~Nomiki's Creations~ Misty Fae wings to make mine a bit fairy like and Wasabi Pills petite mesh hair to match. This designer truly has some absolutely beautiful skin, and even some horrifying demons too! This place is not to be missed.
Below pic is the original ad from Fallen Gods (bottom pic is not taken by me)

UNIA by MadPea Now Open!
Visit here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/MadPea%20Base/128/128/23
Here is how to play: http://www.madpeagames.com/how-to-play-unia/
The long awaited UNIA by Madpea opened today, well yesterday, but it was today when I started. Yes, it's addicting. Yes, it's challenging. Yes, it's filled with great scenery, animations, mystery, special fx and builds/parts by great artists like Bryn Oh and Rebeca Bashly etc. as promised. I've been at it a few hours now and I've just figured out it's going to be a few more.. another day, because I have to get some sleep then work too.
As usual you buy a hud (3 hud/startup levels to chose from) and tp into the the "game" if you want to call it that. From there you have to just be like a curious explorer clicking everything, remembering clues, picking up objects, eventually fighting things if you want to, and basically trying to figure things out. I would highly recommend checking out the "how to play" link above before forging ahead. It will save you time and frustration in the long run.
TWICE I got sorta got stuck and staff in the group told me I was actually in almost "end places" that were close to the end and I had managed to miss some things/places that would successfully get me to those spots in the correct order in which to advance successfully. So besides being killed repeatedly and sort of having to kind of start over I was doing ok. And lets just say you don't want to be sent to the empty barn. It's like a time out and you've basically been killed. But lucky us, we get to just go right back in with all our accumulated stuff after our time out.
So my hud is full of tools/things I'll need to continue on. I have an idea of what I need to do yet and where to go to do it, and I have a great start. Just before I felt I needed to quit for the night/morning, I ran into an old friend Sugar Silverstar who was back for her new day to continue playing. She summed up how I feel about it when she said, "Sugar Silverstar: god I love it. I'm torn between wanting to solve it and not wanting it to finish." And when I asked, she said I could quote her. So my game will be prolonged as it's bed time for me now.. well a few hours ago. I'll leave you with some photos though.... enjoy the game. It's great : )
Just when you think you have it covered, you find the white hall.. and so so many doors with worlds more to explore and figure out.. hehe.. I'm loving it.

The Trap is Trapped for Relay for Life
Visit here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Despina/128/128/23
Calling all Mateys…. arrrggg I need your help!
The Relay for Life Tribute City team has decided I’ve been a naughty bad girl, so bad they want to lock me up. No, It’s not BDSM time. It’s Jail & bail me out time with all bail $L raised going toward my release (In this case aka: Relay for Life). I’ve heard they plan to throw me in the brig aboard a grand pirate ship. The word on the street is they will send out their pirate skiptracers to apprehend me around 1pm SLT Sunday April 26 and I’m told if I don’t comply they might just make me walk the plank. My freedom lies in the hands of the generous people of SL. I would try to beg and list all my good qualities and reasons you should stop in and add to my bail for my release but since I can’t think of any I’ll rely on the Relay for Life good cause reason. Everyone knows I can’t sit still too long in SL, so If I’m stuck in the brig for long I might just have to think up something interesting to keep myself and any lookyloos entertained and I’m thinking if I spend enough time looking deep enough I might just find a thing or two in my inventory to make an interesting jail break after a while. There might also be blogging or filming going on, yes, most likely there will be. Please come on out and bring (L$) any loose pennies, nickels, or dimes you can scrounge up out of your mesh sofa that I can add up, or if you are broke just come out, bring friends, and laugh at me in lockup, keep me company, or roam the deck and enjoy the high seas with friends or break your bank and bring some cold hard cash, because I’m broke and I heard my bond will be set between 10K and 50K Sunday April 24th at 1pm SLT here:
(ps, I really do need your help because I’ve heard there have been bribes to keep me in the brig vs getting me out ~sigh)

The Fantasy Faire 2015 in Second Life--Opens April 23
The Fantasy Faire is only a couple of days away and I'm eagerly looking forward to blogger day tomorrow so I can get an early lag-free peek and take some pics for this blog. In the mean time I have started opening blogger packages and decided to blog the cool his and hers Ranger outfits from Feyline, Visit their stores inworld here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Ofelia/128/128/38 and here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Zebria%20Wyldwood/30/186/1208 and on marketplace here: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/96516
I love this set and it comes with so many extras. The arrows in the back are nicely detailed and there are 5 different styles with each the male or female versions including cloaks with and without hoods or hood and mask, hats, hunting knife attachment and boots. The female is Ranger Serra Forest and the male is Ranger Sherrod Forest. "Feyline,Fashions Medieval, fantasy and casual clothing for men, women and children. Specializing in complete outfits" by Feydaann ferryhill.
I found this hunt promo on Youtube
This is a promo for the Fairelands Hunt - The Lost Land
The Hunt is part of Fantasy Faire in Second Life, an event for Relay for Life of Second Life.
Find out more at https://fantasyfairesl.wordpress.com/
This year the faire is also hosting what looks like a very cool literary Festival.. see the schedule and events here: https://fantasyfairesl.wordpress.com/events-2/literary-festival/

Weinger Galleries Presents The Roof 5th Anniversary Shows Monday & Wednesday
Visit here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Ashoka/128/128/22
Remember the good old days where twice a week you could count on some great music over at "The Roof" hosted by Lingual Markus? He had his art gallery beneath the glass floor and one could dance, listen to the great all night lineup of live music, socialize always with a huge crowd, and cam down into or visit his art gallery below. Well Ling is and David Weiner are having a couple of parties this week. They are promoting David Weiner's art gallery and will bring back some great music. I popped into the sim to get the direct link (above) and ran into both Ling and David so grabbed a pic in front of David's gallery. There is even a great art sale that includes RL art in the party area. I'm sure this will be a fun reunion for a lot of music and art lovers, so I hope to see everyone there.

Ocho Tango here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Blossom%20Land/163/164/33
Digital Art -Cammino e Vivo Capovolto Blossom Land (112,89,21) by Mistero Hifeng here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Blossom%20Land/84/117/110
This sim has been around with Ocho Tango Place for a while and I've taken pics here before too because it's such a quaint little dance place in the middle of a gorgeous field. Their sim info. states: "The first club where dance Tango, dance, love, romance, latin,
A Milonga lost in a pampas.... what's else?"
I went back to visit last night and found below the cliffs some amazing art by Mistero Hifeng, some of which I've seen around SL before much much new. Then to my delight when I started to climb down a well ladder I was teleported to a gallery in the sky loaded with tons of fun and creative work my Mistero Hifeng that was even for sale. I took a ton of pics, some of which I post here. It's so delightful to enter a well made scenic sim and get to enjoy good art, and interactive fun too. Check this sim out again for 3 area of fun.

Lick Sim Design: The End of the World as We Know It
Lick here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Oyster%20Bay/128/128/26
My friend Naxos Loon, you know.. the well known chimp, traveler, sharer of fun places and things, passed me, and apparently a lot of other people, a LM to Lick this past weekend. Thankfully I went with it and ended up in this really fun explore. Lick by Sera Bellic actually changes design every quarter with the next design being in July. The current design starts on a rainy, stormy dock and across from the dock and raging sea lies The End of the world as we know it.
The sim info. reads: "Lick offers complete sim/parcel design, landscaping and interior design. LICK is dedicated to creating beautiful, enchanting spaces for your home or business. Dare to Dream."

I found myself in Embryo, un Jour There will come soft rains, again today and it seems things have changed a little from when I was last there. It remains a very "pretty" sim. It appears to be owned by Siestabril.Nitley. There are a few things for sale too. You can even rez things there in case you want to drop some special poses. There are of course also soft rains : ) I took some pics as usual.

Why I Relay Project
2015.RFL.Kara Trapdoor by Catalina Staheli
Catalina has this great project going and is taking RFL portraits with people’s reasons to relay. Check it out here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/81538244@N05/sets/72157649953979530/
The 3 avatars in the pic are all me. Check out her Flickr stream.. it's pretty cool to see the variety of avatars and reasons they relay here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/81538244@N05/sets/72157649953979530/
More details about the project and the pictures here: https://fantasyfairesl.wordpress.com/2015/03/25/why-do-you-relay/
I love this pic and wanted to portray 3 generations. Catalina did a great jobs with this in spite of me rushing her badly because I needed to get somewhere yet wanted my pic to blog. I think she did this all in less than 10 minutes and it turned out great. My shirt uses the RFL theme.. The future is now. My RL grandmother passed away from cancer and didn't see a doctor until it was very noticeable to others around her that she was sick, which was really too late. I certainly hope a cure is found for future generations. Anyway.. this is my reason.

Balloons by Cica Ghost
Visit here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Wondering%20Dew/128/128/27
Jackson Redstar made this really cool video above. I'm usually never really sure what a lot of the art builds mean, but that doesn't mean I can't love them. Such is the case with this one filled with balloons and people reaching for and floating around a fog enshrouded warped city, plenty of cats and sunflowers.. good combo : ) I took a few pics below. Be sure to grab your own free balloon at the landing spot. Cica always makes unique and fun builds and this one is fulfilling. Check it out and have fun!

The History of Vehicles in Second Life LEA2
Visit here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/LEA2/128/128/19
The other day I blogged about a great car show in SL, and now I've also found this exhibit at LEA2 also with a lot of fun vehicles in SL. There is a great variety and I enjoyed seeing the evolution of some of the vehicles as well as specialty items and all the great details of some of the newer vehicles. The exhibit runs from April 1 through May 31st. They have more than 130 vehicles from over 50 designers curated by Sapphire Hotaling. They have events during the exhibit too as follows:
"The following is the list of weekend entertainment events in the month of April.

April is "Help A New Avatar" Month... ... To Me Anyway
I'm officially designating April as "Help a Noob Month".
Of course it will carry on to the other months too for me : )
It seems the noobs are finding me this month in droves anyway, so I might as well go with it. I do try to make a point of helping new avatars whenever I see one struggling which is often, and I guess I tend to be a noob magnet as even in a group noobs will like SEEK ME OUT to ask for help. Guys and girls alike. They can see it on my face- that I can't say no and will help them to the ends of SL and back to get settled in properly. I'm basically a permanoob myself, so I do take much pity on new avatars who need help. I feel like the learning curve for new avatars can be a tad high in SL and have noticed some people are not keen on hanging out with or helping new avatars who are maybe a little awkward and not quite as aesthetically appealing as people who have been around for a while. My thoughts on that (and have proven to be very true) is that noobs might/and have, turned out to be some fantastic people, some sweet, some skilled, some cool in a variety of ways. They just need a little start up help and time. I've found that most people have something to offer me too in the ways of friendship. And I might have something to offer them, especially when they are new.
I have some friends who occasionally say, I (they) should help new avatars more. I'm like, "Then do it." Noobs are all over and you can spot them a mile away and easily differentiate them from returning avatars (alts) of seasoned SL residents. (previously blogged sings of an alt here: http://karasecondlife.blogspot.com/2010/08/my-alternate-identity-crisis.html) Of course I am also close to someone who has no patience for helping new avatars and doesn't see how I can do it, so helping new avatars really isn't for everyone. A certain amount of patience is required.
So.. I challenge everyone to try to make a point of being more friendly to and trying to help new avatars a little more this month.
There are some tricks of the trade. If they and I have time, I tend to discuss and/or show them some basics such as:
(First I ask a few questions like what their interests are, what they want their av to look like, what they might like to do in SL, if they are wanting to spend $ in SL or not, etc. Usually I have to let them know some options about what is in SL, since they know nothing).
*Often I will initially just take them to a fantastic sim to chat so they can be amazed by SL while I am preparing to help them by asking above questions or educating them a bit on some of the points below.
*If they have payment info on file its easy to show them around to great shopping places but if not I tend to show them the fabfree web site info that includes a list of free things for avatars under 30 days old. Many stores have free great quality merchandise available only for new avatars. Check out their site here: https://fabfree.wordpress.com/fabfree-30-days-list/
*I show them the SL Marketplace website
*How to better outfit their new av skin/shape if they want a different or more unique look or like their RL selves, and they usually do immediately want that and to not look like a new avatar even though the SL new avs looks pretty good these days. (this usually includes full help/lessons on opening boxes, where a person can rez things, etc)
* How to get the free Tutys (moderate sim) or 1L Vista AO (pg)
*Remind them to chat and be friendly vs or prior to just sending a radom person a friend request without talking. (a noob tonight did that to someone and that person very rudely shot him down immediately in local)
*I also remind them to be very very careful what to accept or not from strangers or they can be bitten by vampires or get products that have something bad attached. That's a hard call for anyone really. If they want to play vampire they can figure that out later too.
* I usually pass them a free dance and show or tell them how to work dancing as dance clubs are very social and will help them to meet other people who will help them more to find their way around SL and enhance the quality of their time spent in SL.
* I briefly show them how to search and work groups and ask what their interests are and show how they can find almost anything in SL (often including stuff from their own state or city or something from across the world) or work on making something if its not already here.
*I talk a little about landmarking to a place they can build/open boxes or even set to home.
*I keep a little noob help package I often hand them that includes some info. and a few freebies or even a fun gacha item I no longer need or something from my inventory I think they might like. We all know I have way too much in there anyway.
*Yes, the sex issue regularly comes up (no pun intended) and I let those know I'm not here for that and wont help them out with that stuff, but that plenty others will if that's what they are after.
*SL destination guide and and last but not least I show some of them, if I feel they have the rest of the basics pretty well under control, my own blog here and how to use the search line to look for explore, or other things.
Of course it will carry on to the other months too for me : )

Happy Easter, Visit House of Prayer
Visit here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/House%20of%20Prayer/128/128/37
I highly recommend catching a service at House of Prayer in Second Life for Easter. I blogged it last year here: http://karasecondlife.blogspot.com/2014/04/happy-easter.html
There are tons of great secular sims, hunts, bunny outfits etc in SL today so enjoy, but please consider the real reason for the season. This church is a good opportunity for that. There is even a Divine Art exhibit going on to enjoy there too besides a service. Enjoy and Happy Easter.

Cars of Second Life: Car Show Opens Today April 1
Visit here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Bitterblue/128/128/22
I found a car show in SL today. The cars are from various makers and of various makes and models from antique to new releases, from kit cars to miniatures. I guess I'd have to say one of my favs was the Dr. Who specialty car. It just looked cool. The Spider was super cool too though, so I wouldn't be able to pick a favorite really, as they are all good. Like works of art. In center court there is also a L500 Autism Awareness car. "The BIGGEST car show in Second Life is now open to the public!! Spread the word and come visit!! Over 100 cars presented by enthusiasts and creators. Starting now and it will run as long as we can keep it open". I've never seen a car show in SL before but I've been pretty impressed with the details and variety of vehicles at car dealers out and around SL and it was nice to see diff dealers with such a wide variety represented here in one place.
