Isle of View -Linden Labs Valentine's Day Sim and Events

The annual Linden Lab Valentines Day sim is open at Isle of View.   Today  Feb 12th 10 am to 2pm and again 2-4pm SLT residents can have a chance at hugging a Linden, dunking a Linden and more.  I visit every year but usually miss out on the Linden event as I work during the week day hours. One year they had the kiss the Lindens and they'd give you their teddy bears too.  Last year they had a cool boat ride and lots of freebies and when I visited today (yes I was home off work today) I noted they still have the romantic swan boat rides again. While there you can also enjoy fireworks and run through fields of botanically beautiful landscapes!  The sim windlights start out a cool dark red but I soon lightened mine up so I could have a good look at things. Try the red first though.. it's fun.
 
 This is always a cute thing to do as a Valentine treat and this year it's even better in that you can purchase a few items for just 50L with proceeds going to Team Fox.  The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research  Some of the items available include roses, candy hearts, bears, chocolate and more that you can send to a friend, loved one, or even yourself.

So while I was there I took a ton of pictures especially of the Lindens as I've never been in the company of so many Lindens before other than perhaps that time I hit Isle of View many years ago during this event and I didn't take pics then.

Winter Wonder land is a super fun wintery sim filled with great stuff to see and do such as a snowmobile ride and snowboard on a great track, pick up free presents, ice skate, fun ferris wheel, explore a cute little town, watch fireworks, and most of all SNOWBALL FIGHT!  There is a whole snowball fighting area complete with buildings and trenches to hide in and more.  They offer free snowball fighting weapons and it's really a blast.  Friday February 6 from 10am to 12pm PST. http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Featured-News/Join-a-Snowball-Fight-with-Lindens-amp-Enter-Our-Photo-Booth-Fun/ba-p/2893956 the Lindens write about it:

Unfortunately I will be hard at work in the middle of my work day when this big snowball fight will occur so I went over early and took a few photos to blog here.  The sim has the snowboards and snowmobiles you rez for free and snowball guns that you can rez for free to keep.  Premium members can get their premium gifts as usual for some more "quality" snowmobiles and guns.   My friend Kathy Nikolaidis was first to tell me about the snowball fight and I see a lot of people have been blogging about it and the sim already.  I grabbed a pic of Kathy on a snowboard and few more around the area to give you an idea of what to expect.  So get on your snow gear and have some fun!

Easter Egg Hunt for L$ and Prizes at The Station Now!

Welcome to The Station Easter Egg Hunt!  The hunt runs Tuesday through Saturday April 19th.  You will be searching for two types of eggs.  The golden eggs hold L$ and the multi-colored eggs have gifts inside.  Search the entire sim, ground level Dead City, sky level, The Floating City, and the many hidden areas around the sim to find thousands of Lindens worth of L$ and prizes, some small and some large.   The larger prizes may be harder to find, so enjoy exploring while hunting and have a great time.   Please join Miri's club group if you'd like to stay apprised of sim events.  Note: The ground level has some private residences and there will be no hidden eggs in these locations.  Please do not enter private rented residences.  The rooms that are NOT rented you may enter and search for hidden eggs. You can ride the human sling shot to get to the ground level and you can reach the sky level by taking a balloon ride up or enter the ground level fun house to teleport.  There are many hidden places in this sim.   If you have any questions please contact Kara Trapdoor, Enigmatic Deir or other sim staff if you see them around.  If an egg is not working properly, is emptied out, or there are other issues we apologize but this hunt is just for fun and no extra reimbursements will be made.  There are a lot of gifts and Lindens to find.   Thanks for visiting the sim and have fun!
