Happy Canada Day and Happy American Independence Day!

Happy Canada Day Today & 4th of July Independence Day this Week!  From Kara & Kathy

My friend Kathy is Canadian and I'm American so we wanted to show our spirit and make a dual holiday pic today with matching dresses found in the SL Marketplace here: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/26042  by the brand "Simply" which also offers various other Canada Day and 4th of July clothes.  We chose these matching mesh dress for our photo.

Next we added the "Mad" liquid lips, Kathy is in the Canadian flag lips and I have the America flag lips of course.  The lips can be found online here: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/products/search?search[category_id]=&search[maturity_level]=G&search[keywords]=mad+lips

Today marks Canada Day and Wiki history states, "Canada Day (French: Fete du Canada) is the national day of Canada, a federal statutory holiday celebrating the anniversary of the July 1, 1867, enactment of the British North America Act, 1867 (today called the Constitution Act, 1867, in Canada), which united three colonies into a single country called Canada within the British Empire Originally called Dominion Day ( FrenchLe Jour de la Confédération), the name was changed in 1982, the year the Canada Act was passed. Canada Day observances take place throughout Canada as well as by Canadians internationally."

Wednesday marks American Independence Day for us Americans.  Wiki states: "Independence Day, commonly known as the Fourth of July, is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain.  Independence Day is commonly associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, fairs, picnics, concerts, baseball games, family reunions, and political speeches and ceremonies, in addition to various other public and private events celebrating the history, government and traditions of the United States.  Independence Day is the national day of the United States."

And if you are looking for something fun to do in SL for the holidays you can always visit the ever exciting Summer Town (temporary for the holidays) by Laura Liberty.   She has a lot of products and great interactive stuff to play on and explore there.   I made this video a couple of years ago there but she has all this and so much more new.  It's a great place.
