"Here's another one-of-a-kind item from Cozi. We've all seen the photo collages that take up 7 or 8 prim. Here's one with only 1/2 Land Impact! Simply drag and drop your photos onto each of the canvas areas. You can also change the wood color or backdrop."

My friend Greg Parker makes great stuff and he recently gave me this photo collage that I loaded with friends pics.  You can see him and Kate in the lower left photo on the collage.  Thanks Greg! Once again, another nice low prim product!  His logo says, "COZI Home furnishings for the practical buyer"   well, except for that one fish bowl hat.. I think that's just for fun. : )  Check it out!

Circa Ghost visits The Lost Town.. now open

"The Visitors" by Circa Ghost at Lost Town La Citta' Perduta opened 2-8-14.  Visit here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Land%20of%20Glory/128/128/7

The Visitors by Circa at Lost Town Opened 2-7-14 by Kara TrapdoorCirca has this cute exhibit of her signature moving cartoon type drawing figures placed around Lost Town. I think there are more than 20.  There are free group gift umbrellas available as there are little magical rain drops all over also.  The little stick figure bike rider is impressive as it actually bikes all over the sim. It's like magic to me: )  The exhibit note states: "Under pouring rain, arriving in the city the Cica Ghost Visitors , with their colorful energy, and open the windows of the Lost Town La Città Perduta on the sensitive and poetic vision of their creator.
A new Art Exhibition in Lost Town La Città Perduta"
 This is a super cool sim to explore too and I've blogged it before.  Enjoy.

Isle of View, LL Valentine's Sim Open Again This Year

Isle of view by Kara 2
The LL Isle of View is back this year.  I wondered where they went last year, but seems they have their Valentines sim all ready to go for this year.  I ran over for a few pics and their kissing booths are all set.  This year, as in years past excluding last year, the Lindens will be available for kisses and photos with SL residents for Valentines Day.  In years past they would joke around with residents who would get a kiss, pic and sometimes a bear.  There were some short lines and some longer lines.  I wonder how it will be this year. Their blog promises: "If you’re looking for a place to take a romantic date, why not stop by the Isle of View? We’ve dusted off, spruced up, and revamped a blast from the past with a Swan Boat Ride and some free treats for you and your special someone. Valentine Bears, candied hearts, kissing booths and a skyline of fireworks are sure to send the mood for love".  I'm not sure if I will hit their time frames as I work and Valentines day is on my Friday work day.  At any rate check out this heart shaped island that is dissected by a swan boat ride river way.  I did pick up some cute Linden Valentines bears and some wearable candy hearts that you literally can eat away at.  They are transfer too so can be given as gifts. There are plenty of single and couples scenic resting spots for photos.   If you need more places to visit for Valentines day check out the LL blog here: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Featured-News/Celebrate-Valentine-s-Day-in-Second-Life/ba-p/2479575  for some other cute explores.  The destination guide also has a romance category here: http://secondlife.com/destinations/romance.

Today I had notice LEA made a great events schedule board at the main landing where you can easily see where you might was to explore and do direct teleports to various LEA exhibits.  Then I hopped over to LEA 13 by Xineohp Guisse which will officially open tomorrow. Xineohp was there, so of course I asked if I could take a pic then.  I was very impressed and pleased with what I saw and asked a few questions.  Xineohp Guisse provided a story book with a note card and info.  The book with beautiful pics of the build and storyline and note says in part:

"For the SecondLife LEA round 6 2014, I present to you Chapter One of my 5-month long build - The {Lost} Garden Of Sundarya Lahari.

=====; {THE STORY}
According to myths, the Ancients discovered a botanical species; a kind of reed that was capable of resonating a sound frequency when touched. The Ancients harvested these reeds and created a meditative and spiritual garden.
Quite by accident, the Ancients also discovered a symbiotic creature to the reeds; which they named the Pentapuss. The Pentapuss has the same form and biological structure as the reeds, and fed off the soundwaves made by the reeds. In doing so, their movements amongst the reeds nurtured the growth of the reeds to maturity.
The Ancients built BioPods and BioSpheres; to nurture these reeds and the young, juvenile pentapussies. They built contemplative Elemental pods at the Chamber of the Ancients, to observe these creatures and plants. They built a music chamber, where they can physically interact with the reeds......
The Lost Garden Of Sundarya by Kara 2In time, the garden grew to become a beautiful space - to contemplate and be as one with the beings that surrounds them.

=====; {ABOUT THE BUILD - THE TECHNICAL GEEKY STUFF}
The build is based on live sampling of my cello "plucking".  Each "reed" in the build, upon collision, produces a specific note.
The build is made up of two chambers on two towers:
1. An interactive chamber where avatars can move around, collide with the reeds and make their own music.
2.The main chamber; where the musical notes are being produced in a total unstructured fashion by the random collision of the creatures "the pentapuss". The creatures move/dance in an absolute random algorithm and upon collision with the reeds, the reeds produces the sound of a single note. Being executed in a completely random fashion,  a musical score is created that is ever-changing and evolving... never the same.
Resonant sounds/notes are produced when two notes are simultaneously struck.
The beauty of the build is how one can discover an evolution in music, made totally in a random algorithm, given a full pentatonic scale (via the sounds produced on a cello).

The Lost Garden Of Sundarya by Kara 2This build would not have been possible without the help of my dear friend, darling sweetheart and uber scriptor, Nava Muni..... And the generosity of Linden Labs with the LEA initiatives."
The Lost Garden Of Sundarya by Kara 2

The Lost Garden Of Sundarya by Kara 2On a personal note I'd recommend going over to the Chamber of the Ancients and sit on one of the green pods where you get a menu and it's easier to see the creatures dance.  In conversation, Xin also told me a few things such as when the reed gets struck by the creature.. it turns blue.  Xin said, "I will be building 5 chapters in my 5 months here, each month bringing a new chapter to the story and a new book so.. the story will evolve .. over the next few months.. the build will grow."  Xin has made many things in SL in the past but due to RL work commitments tends to pop in and out a lot.    I think I also may have gotten a scoop on what comes next as Xin said, "Next month we are going under water to tell the story of the Pentapuss."  At any rate.. be sure to check out this very cool, unique build with a story that will develop time.

Hosted by MadPea Productions
Your name:
Aeonix Aeon | Will Burns

What is your special skill set (what are you known for in SL):
I'm a synthetic environment subject matter expert who has graced such shows in Second Life as Metaverse Week in Review, Spotlight TV with Scorpinosis Nightfire, Friday Night Talk Show and a two time winner on Pooky Amsterdam's "The 1st Question". I've been interviewed for magazines in-world such as Maniera, and by such wonderful folks as Kara Trapdoor, Scorpinosis Nightfire and Mal Burns. During my tenure as VP of Operations for Pulse Point Media, I helped oversee the design and work resulting in the Loyola Marymount University Psychology Island here in Second Life.

Tell us a little about yourself:
As the Vice Chair for IEEE Virtual World Standard group, and co-author of the Association for Computing Machinery research paper "3D Virtual worlds and the metaverse: Current status and future possibilities", I've spent the past twenty years in the industry in and out of various virtual environments. I'm an avid reader, and a bit of an audiophile who loves classic rock. My general interests are in the Arts and Music, of which I'm a fan of various artists in-world such as Bryn Oh, and music artists such as Mandoaa Dragonash.

In my spare time, I design accurate replicas of classic arcade machines in Second Life for private collectors, and in real life I work with various academic, military and aerospace interests on virtual worlds and augmented reality related systems. Currently I am a design lead in-world for the eureka! content discovery system under development with Jon Dragoone, and consulting for a new type of immersive ASMR video series on Youtube with Dmitri of MassageASMR in Australia.
How would you spend your time with the winner of your celebrity auction (for example: give a building demonstration, attend a concert)?

I'm open for attending a concert, visiting an art exhibit, or just hanging out and having a wonderful time in conversation. Maybe all of the above if there is time :) I'm open to suggestions, though I don't do commercial endorsements or porn (let's keep it clean). If you're interested in getting to know me better or are interested in the lush and wonderful history of virtual environments, then let's help feed all the children we can and keep those bids high :)
