This is always one of my favorite SL annual events!

Their press release states:

"Celebrating its sixth year, Fantasy Faire 2014 is the largest gathering of fantasy designers, enthusiasts, roleplayers and performers in the virtual world. From Thursday, May 1 to Sunday May 11, treat yourself to eleven days of shopping, live music concerts, auctions, hunts and roleplaying as thousands of Second Life residents and creators bring their own visions together to support the American Cancer Society’s vision of a world without cancer.
Avatars, clothing, furnishings, gadgets and exclusive items are available from more than 150 of SL’s top Fantasy Creators across eleven stunning sims designed by some of the visionary artists behind many of the hottest spots on the SL destination guide.

Sunday the 27th of April at 1pm second life time, a collaborative Second Life work, The Russian Avante- Garde, opens in LEA8.  The virtual world exhibition is featured on four interactive viewing stations within the Museum and was created by Alpha Auer (Turkey), Bryn Oh (Canada), Caer Balogh (USA), Eupalinos Ugajin (France), Jo Ellsmere (USA), Nessuno Myoo (Italy) and Soror Nishi (UK). This is all part of a bigger RL exhibit held in the main exhibition hall of Moscow’s Manege Museum.  Tomorrow the SL exhibit is opening and will be streamed live and included in the RL exhibit thanks to Peter Greenaway (UK) and Saskia Boddeke/Rose Borchovski (Holland) and supported by the British Council.


The whole area is very interesting and I posted many pictures a short time ago on this blog if you care to scroll back, but at this time I will focus on the Coppelian  bots by Jo Ellsmere, and made a little video recording of their movements.  I am quite mesmerized by them.  But go see the immersive exhibit before watching this video, as the exhibit is so impressive life-size and in person, well, virtual person : )  Enjoy!

I have been meaning to do a little thing with this song for a while and my good friend Kathy Nikolaidis' birthday was a great reason to get me going on it.  Plus it works well for Strawberry Singh's Monday meme today about poses in SL.  I'll write more later.  Anyway.. Happy Birthday Kathy!

I have so many poses and animations and I'm horrible about organizing them, so it's even hard for me to find the one I wanted as needed sometimes, but here is a shot list of some of my fav pose shops, keeping in mind that I love individual poses from a wider variety of shops.  I think I probably have some from almost any pose store in SL and it just depends on the individual pose.

Rev. Bret (Babailey) Resident leads the congregation in a really good service at God's House of Prayer in Second Life.  My sis Lexi tp'd me in before RL church a few weeks back and we sat through a Christian church service that was pretty typical of a RL service.  They have a beautiful church, Christian gallery, freebie area, and nice park.

When we visited I noted, Pastor Brett's profile states: "I was a Pastor in the United Methodist Church for 15 years.  I am currently attending and am active in a Full Gospel church.  I have been a Christian since the age of 22." He gave a dynamic sermon that day and I'm sure there will be something to offer over at House of Prayer for Easter Sunday, so if you can't make church RL, try it out in SL.
