Halloween Town upper level is similar to prior years with Laura's interesting buildings lining the path down to the haunted house.  There are freebies and fun things to do and play with along the way and the buildings house items for sale including child and adult costumes, gifts, creepy or cute decorations and party supplies, some really cool masks and accessories and other stuff.  Once in the haunted house be sure to accept the hud then don't mess with it, just turn up your sound.  Click on things in the haunted house and enjoy. It's one of the longest most impressive interactive haunted houses in SL that is based on Halloween movies theme. There is a really cool new area/ride part of the haunted house I won't write about here or post pics of, so as not to spoil the new fun for avatars who might have visited in the past.  One thing I will mention is to be sure to collect your free image provided from the sim at the end of your ride in the new area, and then continue on. There are a few other new surprises along the way and some of my fav returning areas.  It takes a little time to get all the way through properly so grab a friend or two and enjoy!

This is the Annual Lovecraft Festval, celebrating the 128th birthday of HP Lovecraft.  The SL Destination guide states: "Join the festivities at the 7th annual Lovecraft Festival of Second Life, held August 17-26 in celebration of Mr. H.P. Lovecraft's 128th birthday. Featuring dozens of stores of merchants from all across Second Life and a full schedule of entertainment and activities for all including an adventure/quest that starts its unsettling trail at the notorious Arkham Sanatorium. I love to visit this annual SL event mostly because I love the quirkiness of H. P. Lovecraft and the organizers, (specifically, Arikthered, Arik Metzger) always do a great job of running this event.  Maybe quirkiness is not the right word, maybe I mean, creepy? or odd? or just plain interesting.  Plus, who doesn't love a good cthulhu?  There is some great and often unique shopping.  There are a lot of cool events so check out the schedule on their web site.  I snapped a pic that was on a board regarding today's and tomorrow's events as an example.  Guerilla Burlesque will even be performing Aug.25th at 7pm so you know it's a great event and they will put on a wild show I'm sure everyone will love. Elysium will perform Aug 21st at 7pm, and Whymsee had a dance along show this evening. You will prob see a lot of cool looking avs there too.. enjoy.

This event will intrigue explorers, photographers, shoppers, event goers who like music and readings, well I'd think just about anyone, so be sure to check it out. Don't forget to click around, and don't be afraid to sit on pose spots.. I mean.. if you like a good tentacle, creepy crawly, or whatever : ). This event culminates with a closing gala Lovecraft masquerade Aug. 25th from 8-11pm SLT.

Their welcome note starts off: "Welcome to the SL15B, the big crystal birthday party of Second Life with a large program of events. The SL15B runs with all events from 17. June to 24. June 2018, in addition, the sims are open until 30. June 2018 to explore them."

Every year there are one or two builds that just WOW me.. and this is it! Looks like it was made by Walton Wainwright (faust.steameer) The Serpent. It's huge and there is a stage area for events inside the building that is impressive.


Once again the cake stage is also huge and gorgeous.
  And tonight I caught a Toxie show, which was great as always.

I always love it when good quality products not only sell on Marketplace but have stores inworold in great builds/sims.  This is the case here. The sim is a gorgeous setting to these two stores so you can visit to explore or shop.  Petite Mort has somewhat hippie/boho style clothes and products and Oubliette is magical and darker.  The sim has many nice photographic resting spots for friends or couples and scenic areas.  You can also find some of their products on Marketplace here: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/157359 and there are Flickr groups for both stores.

Their sim looks like it's owned by Melora Frost (insilvermoonlight) with Petite Mort and Oubliette. The sim info. says: "Witchwood lies nestled on the outskirts of no where. Relax, take photos or shop at Petite Mort & Oubliette."

As a bonus the Titanic is located on the other side of their same sim and this is a great date night location for formal dancing, exploring and photography. If you haven't visited yet, it's a must see in SL.

No Tricks, Just Treats at Easter Town, Happy Easter April 1

It's April 1, and I'm not fooling,  Easter Town is a lot of fun.  Ok, enough with the cheesy catch lines. I tend to blog most of Laura Liberty's seasonal sims as I enjoy visiting her fun and light hearted play areas.  Easter Town has a LOT to play on, freebies, photo ops, etc, but don't forget to be supportive and maybe buy some of her quality products for your home, self, or friends as she has some great quality decorations, gifts, play things, clothes and costumes, etc too.  Its a fun place.  My friend August joined in me and he's a good one to have around, as he was patient while I stopped mid peep race for photo ops, while racing carrot cars, riding eggs, and free bouncys, then crashed with me on the giant bunny after I'd had too much fun and treats.......and here are the pics as usual.

Christmas Town 2017

Laura Liberty's annual Christmas Town is now open.  This is one of my all time annual fav Christmas sims.  There is a fantastic immersive skate through time /Christmas movies, a underground sledding tour, skating, shopping, fantastic scenery, cute hang out places and more.  This is a must see sim that is changed up a little each year and well worth multiple visits with friends or alone even. One major tip for first timers, when you enter the ice castle, be SURE to get on the skating pose balls out front and do not walk it, as you loves the majority of the special effects.  Also accept the drop down for the sounds when you first enter.  It's very immersive and does have some super cool effects if you simply get on the skating balls and following the initial brief instructions.  This is a sim I will go back to many times each Christmas and have already been there with numerous friends several times since it opened a few days ago.   Well worth it. Be sure to shop the cute stores with great products too so Laura is motivated to bring this back every year.  She often adds new parts to the sim and I love the new forest this year.  5 stars, highly recommend!!

The Crystal Heart Festival June 30 -July 31

This event runs June 30th through July 31st.  The Crystal Heart is an annual mahou shoujo themed event, dedicated to all of those who love magical girls. ♥

There is a lot of Sailor Moon type stuff, Kwaii, costume, free gifts, gacha, and some super cute quality fashionable dresses and other clothes and cute products. I love the Blueberry dress and had to get that among other items. This is a very large event with many well known name brands in a big  area .. plan to spend a lot of money and time there if you like to shop in SL. Sorry guys, but I mostly saw things for the ladies.
