I've previously blogged about the Christmas Expo benefitting Relay for Life that runs through the 14th a couple of posts back but now I'd like to show you one of the items you can find there that I enjoyed with my good friend Kekoa.  We are wearing the his and hers Christmas sweaters from Sage.  The 100% DONATION "NICE OR NAUGHTY" SWEATER SET comes with huds that allow the wearer to easily switch back and forth between naughty or nice.  Kekoa and I both tried each version, but I told him of course I needed to model the "nice" version for the photo!  Although Naughty is always just a hud click away ! ~winks~ Anyway.. enjoy the expo and Sage.

I'm still sorting through blogger packages for the Fantasy Faire as previously blogged.  I came across 2 very different types of full avatars that are unique and delightful.  The first is a gacha item from Dandelion Daydreams Factory and is one of 15 unique "Paper Poppets".  These whimsical full avatars look just like paper dolls.  They bend and move and have just a tiny bit of depth to them.  They have tabs on the back that give the appearance of paper clothes on paper dolls. They are ony 149L each at the promo price found at the main sim link above.  The sim itself is gorgeous to explore too.  I'll just copy their sim info. here as it says it well... Next I found these petite sea sprites by Fallen Gods.  Fallen Gods is very well known in SL for their amazing fantasy skins and other things fantasy.  Their current sim info. reads, "Explore and enrich your Second Self with a look that can flow from elf to werewolf, from demon to pixie, from fae to drow, from mermaid to vampire, from angel to human... Libertine Furniture."  Alia Baroque's profile states......Owner and Creator of Fallen Gods Inc., Libertine and the Arcipelagus. http://fallengodsinc.blogspot.com/  This is also a great sim to explore.  The adorable Fallen Gods sesa sprites for Fantasy Faire are super cute petite avatars and although they are sea sprites I added some fun ~Nomiki's Creations~ Misty Fae wings to make mine a bit fairy like and Wasabi Pills petite mesh hair to match.  This designer truly has some absolutely beautiful skin, and even some horrifying demons too! This place is not to be missed.

Calling all Mateys…. arrrggg  I need your help!

The Relay for Life Tribute City team has decided I’ve been a naughty bad girl, so bad they want to lock me up.  No, It’s not BDSM time.  It’s Jail & bail me out time with all bail  $L raised going toward my release (In this case aka: Relay for Life).  I’ve heard they plan to throw me in the brig aboard a grand pirate ship.  The word on the street is they will send out their pirate skiptracers to apprehend me around 1pm SLT Sunday April 26 and I’m told if I don’t comply they might just make me walk the plank.  My freedom lies in the hands of the generous people of SL.   I would try to beg and list all my good qualities and reasons you should stop in and add to my bail for my release but since I can’t think of any I’ll rely on the Relay for Life good cause reason.  Everyone knows I can’t sit still too long in SL, so If I’m stuck in the brig for long I might just have to think up something interesting to keep myself and any lookyloos entertained and I’m thinking if I spend enough time looking deep enough I might just find a thing or two in my inventory to make an interesting jail break after a while.   There might also be blogging or filming going on, yes, most likely there will be.   Please come on out and bring (L$) any loose pennies, nickels, or dimes you can scrounge up out of your mesh sofa  that I can add up,  or if you are broke just come out, bring friends, and laugh at me in lockup,  keep me company, or roam the deck and enjoy the high seas with friends or break your bank and bring some cold hard cash, because I’m broke and I heard my bond will be set between 10K and 50K Sunday April 24th at 1pm SLT here:
(ps, I really do need your help because I’ve heard there have been bribes to keep me in the brig vs getting me out ~sigh)

I love this pic and wanted to portray 3 generations.  Catalina did a great jobs with this in spite of me  rushing her badly because I needed to get somewhere yet wanted my pic to blog.  I think she did this all in less than 10 minutes and it turned out great. My shirt uses the RFL theme.. The future is now.  My RL grandmother passed away from cancer and didn't see a doctor until it was very noticeable to others around her that she was sick, which was really too late.   I certainly hope a cure is found for future generations.  Anyway.. this is my reason.

I always love the annual SL Fashion for Life for several reasons.  I absolutely love to explore and the builds for this event are always great (check out artist/builder list below) the shopping is also fantastic all in one general area, and it's for a great cause, fundraising for Relay for Life/cancer research, awareness, and assistance.  I usually go back to visit many times while it's open for all of the above reasons. Please check it out.  Many people have put a lot of hard work and love into it's success.

I always enjoy seeing the builds alongside the trackway, the ongoing entertainment, the little luminaries that line the path (yes I always get a few and list the names of loved ones who have or had cancer or just leave a few blank in support of the cause) and get caught up in the spirit and camaraderie of the many people who attend and cheer on the runners or just hang out having fun with the RFL teams.  The is a great cause so go visit in support, give a little if you can, and just WOW to see all the amazing builds!  It's like a great explore area too if you like that.. don't miss out. I loved that a part of the lap was even under water for a little bit.  I also really enjoyed some of the camp members standing alongside the path in their build areas waving and cheering on the runners with flags, banners, huge kites, etc and calling out the names of the runners and things... very fun.  The whole area is shaped like a big 10 if you check the map.. just type in RFL if you are not on the sims and you can see the 10 for the 10th anniversary of RFL in SL.  There is still a lot going on, so check out the schedule and don't miss out.

FFL this year has a "wanderlust" theme with sims called Amble, Excursion, Journey, Meander, Parade, Preambulate, Prominade, Trek, Voyage, and Wander.   I visited today and found it easy to get in and maneuver.  I picked up a free "passport" at one of the 10 sim redemption centers and read about getting the passport "stamped" with a 50L relay for life souvenir purchased in each of the 10 sims for the option to redeem for one of the redemption center items. 


While traveling I found a huge airport, balloon area, space/scifi, Victorian/steampunk, huge airport, the RFL volunteer center and celebration stage area, many pretty park like areas, boardwalk seaside area, route 66 hometown, etc. etc. FFL has events and DJ's lined up for entertainment too.  I have to say, I enjoy these events as much for the builds and scenery as I do for the shopping and fundraiser.  Perambulate was especially beautiful and Amble was also super cool,  but they were all impressive in their unique ways. Be sure to visit for whatever reason, and remember the sales are for a good cause.

The SL Science-Fiction Convention May 30-June 8

Returning for its 7th year, this event brings together a wide range of RPG communities and merchants to raise funds for RFL and to celebrate the creativity, innovation and spirit of community within the genre of Science Fiction. Relay For Life Kickoff Weekend

For the 6th year,  the annual Home & Garden Expo is returning to Second Life, from May 24th to June 2nd, and features the wonderful creations by some of SL's best Architects, Builders and Landscapers with 130 exhibitors in 11 regions--all to benefit the Relay For Life in Second Life.  I've set the landing in the entertainment area which is near the main information center with map and teleport spot.  There is also a raffle and hunts. Come Play in the Mud! Woodstock for Relay for Life

On old friend I have not seen for a while invited me over to this cool Woodstock Relay for Life Fundraiser. We danced in the mud and I hopped on the hippie bus and listened to some great tunes all for a good cause.  Then I cammed back and shopped some fun hippie shopping and picked up an awesome cool peace beetle bug that drives too!  The mud even moves around as you dance in it.  How fun is that?  The event runs through tomorrow so hop on over for some fun times.
