I've been noticing many live music and entertainment sims have really been decorating their whole sims up beautifully for the holiday and winter season.  I always respect sim and venue owners who spend a great deal of money and effort simply to share and enhance SL for others. It's common knowledge most venue owners, especially live music venues, don't come close to breaking even on their expenses once tier and the entertainment is paid.  They do it for the love of SL. And I'm thankful.



Since I love to explore SL, see all the amazing SL sims and also enjoy SL live music, I wanted to take this chance to highlight one such sim.  The Only Venue, a live music venue hosted by Jake Puhpow and Molly Masingh, that regularly hosts live musicians has engaged one of SL's finest singers, hosted by Jake Puhpow and Molly Masingh.  Toxie/ Toxic Darkmatter, known on Facebook as Kristin Craig, to decorate the rest of their sim area for visitors to enjoy.  She did a fantastic job and I had a ton of fun exploring there. My pictures don't do it justice but you can get a little bit of an idea what some of it looks like.  It works great with various windlight settings too.   The venue itself is spacious and well done but I'm highlighting just the outdoor explore area here today.  So if you are looking for great SL live music as well as a beautiful sim to explore before or after a show, I highly recommend this one. Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween.  I found these cute inexpensive dresses with a hud changer for 5 totally different Halloween looks.  We went over to the duet sim and snapped a few pics.  I was going to list the info but would rather direct you over to Kathy's blog if you are interested in purchasing the dresses, hair, details etc.  She has a great blog, takes great pics, so please just look there for that.

Occasionally I'll blog SL products I like and today I'm featuring the newish Boudoir Wearables and spring line of furniture by Precious Restless.  My good friend Kathy Nikolaidis already blogged the Gacha-Bunny Porters chair rare available at the Boudoir store inworld which actually isn't a wearable but a cute spring item.   There is a similar Spring Throne on marketplace that however is a wearable.  And here I am wearing the Wearable Boudoir.  And before you start thinking they are all girly, I've found there are a bunch of wearables, some for various seasons, some for guys, some light and some dark.  The wearables are chairs or sets that you wear instead of rez.  There are even some rideable things and all seem to be very reasonably priced.  The nice thing about the wearables is you can take/wear them anywhere and pop them out even in sims you cant rez in.  Also they are highly detailed so you don't have to worry about adding prims to a sim as you would if you rezzed a set or thing out to the ground.   The wearable I'm sitting in has 2 different poses. As I said Kathy's chair isn't a wearable but it's low prim and still highly detailed and a great gacha item.   Kathy took her pic and I did mine obviously as I don't Photoshop so sorry the pic you get from me is raw as/is in SL.

The lingerie I'm wearing in this pic I also really like. It's Erratic's Risque' Eden nude and is a cute little set that fits easily and well with my Maitreya Lara mesh body. It's currently available at this round of Collabor88.    I actually first saw this outfit and wearable last night at the Voodoo Lounge when Toxic (Toxie) Darkmatter was singing and the theme was lingerie so she was sporting the whole deal on stage while vamping out her tunes.  I always love to hear her sing and you can find her on the Wispering Sands Live Promotions site here: http://wslpromo.net/

My good friend Kathy Nikolaidis started up this new blog and it's basically about all things Gacha, since she does happen to be Gacha Queen.  This will be fun to follow since she's sorta got me hooked on Gachas too now.  An added benefit of Gacha's besides being cheap, fun, usually very interesting and high quality is that you can also gift them, trade or resell since they are very popular these days. She's calling her web sight "A Few of My Fav 'Gacha' Things" but personally I think it's going to be A LOT of her Fav Gacha Things, because she does go to and have a lot of Gacha.   I took a snip pic from her blog face so you can get an idea but do check it out if you like Gachas.

The Arcade Gacha and The Most Wanted

The lastest edition of The Arcade gacha opened June 1st and while I still have not been able to get into this seemingly always full sim I have made it to the overflow galley.  So the above direct link is the landmark for the ship that sits just within cam/buying range. You can swim over from there if the actual Arcade sim is not full or use my search bar for past posts about The Arcade for a direct link.
 I was able to cam and get what I wanted that way and that's fine because I was in good company and I've been around long enough to know how to cam well.  But they do give out a notecard with instructions on how to set preferences to be able to cam and reach all the arcade machines if a person is not familiar with that.  Anyway, my gacha addict friend Kathy Nikolaidis turned me on to these cute Arcade Gacha wanted placards by Intrigue Co. There are a WHOLE bunch of different placards with funny sayings, so really something for everyone.  Kathy and I were skilled (er I mean lucky, wait luck has nothing to do with it really as we both played until we got what fit us perfectly.) enough to get the following placards...... too perfect. Christie's Bliss, Simply Irresistible

Christiane Armanii/rejuvejoice has this great store "Christie's Bliss" AKA Rejuve's Rags.  A short time ago I went in and bought a green pantsuit I saw someone wearing that looked very classy and is a full outfit including a nice shoulder scarf and matching shoes that work with Slink.  Then I received a gorgeous gown called "Irresistable" which is exactly what it is.  It comes with matching shoes that are Slink compatible, and armband flowers that match the floral skirt trim.  The dress is part mesh with attached skirt parts for a perfect fit (in various sizes) that flows and moves for a more realistic look.  The embellishments are sparkly flowers and the gown has pleats, seams, and wrinkles in all the right places for a very classy yet sexy look.  I went over to Franks to take a photo for this blog and before I was even able to get started, I got invited to dance with an immediate compliment on the both the dress and shoes. I went back to the store again with my friend Kathy Nikolaidis and she purchased another beautiful gown, so we went out and took pictures.  In IM I told the designer that I love that she mixed the mesh gown with the flexi attachment.  Check out the store some time.

Fantasy Gacha Carnival Through August 31

Kathy Nikolaidis, Lexi Brooks and I visited the Fantasy Gacha this evening for a great deal of fun shopping and bank breaking.  Kathy the queen of gacha actually was more resevrved this time than I was, as fantasy is very alluring to me, but then again she may have just been discreet with her purchases since I've taken to calling her gacha queen.  She has a partner in crime in Lexi who sounds like she also has inventory issues.  I'm telling myself this shopping in SL helps curb the RL shopping fix.  Yeah.. that's it.  Anyway.. visit here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Acerbus%20Silva/128/128/21

As you can see from the photos, the gacha run the perimeter of the sim with a canyon in the middle home to a few adorable little buildings. I started wearing my purchases and Kathy just had to joke that's how I get all the men. I think I lagged the sim in the process of all this too.  There are all things fantasy in the sim gachas so go have a blast, we did.

My friend CindyS Tatham makes some super nice clothes and is having a show this weekend.  I put on one of my fav dresses she makes called Lyneth, and my friend Kathy also has the same dress in another texture so we put them on and posed up in Cindy's store by her ads and took a photo for me to post here so you can see how pretty they are.

My good friend Kathy Nikolaidis has started up her new store "Serendipity Creations".  Kathy and I have been good friends for years and she's been overly excited about her Canadian hockey team winning the gold over the USA team, so much so that she bought me a USA shirt while she wore her Canada shirt.  We took a pic in the shirts and even though Canada came out ahead of the USA in the Olympics, we did have more medals overall, so I guess we can both feel like winners and sport our shirts.   Anyway... she's a shirt buff and also into inspirational sayings and well known on Facebook for her history with SL sports and also her clever Bitstrips and funny and inspirational sayings.  She definitely keeps a person laughing and inspired.  This is reflected in her new shirt line in SL.  She is off to a good start with a couple of styles of mesh women's tops with fun sayings and designs.  I've put her Marketplace, Facebook, and blog links at the top of this post if you want to check it out. On a more personal note: This is the grand opening of the Global American Football League Haunted Castle which will remain open to November 1st.  I helped my friend Kathy Nikolaidis put this together. I'm very pleased with how it turned out and I'm very excited to be a part of their adventure and hope everyone visits. This 3 plus story sim wide castle is a masterpiece itself  with a major "WOW!" factor.  As a matter of fact I toured this build a couple of months ago with Kathy and during my tour I just kept saying WOW!.  And that was when empty.  Now here at the GAFL castle most of the many (I'd guess about a million) rooms are filled with scary, silly, creepy, scenes, animations, and pose and play spots.   Additionally the yard boasts a full graveyard crypt area that has some secret places, animations and poses.  There is also a pumpkin patch loaded with a hunt and cool freebie prizes.  The paintings in the grand ballroom alone are worth the explore. Don't miss the secret passage to the dungeon, the chapel and many things outside too. I got lost so many times working on it, so if you need a tour let me know because I can usually find my way around now: )

This huge impressive castle itself is a marvel made by Romeu Tomsen & Minerva Loire.  Their note card states in part:
 "This palace was inspired and built  over the footprints of the real life palece in Moszna - Poland. .... this building is huge and exists in real life.   90% of the textures used were Photoshoped with the help of many photos I took in a trip i did to the real palace in 2010. It took us over 2 years to complete a selling version of this palace. This building was supposed to be unique in Second Life. It was located in Anarchy Island for 1 year and half. If you google for Magnolioideae Palace you will see many blogs and artwork pictures made by many people all around the world." (sic)

Today is Kathy Nikolaidis' rez day! Have a great one Kathy.

The Master Plan-Of Home and Furniture Shopping-And Rich Old Men

Ok ladies, here's the plan, we'll get some "rich old dude" to shack up with the 3 of us girls together so we can live in this beautiful mansion.. Kathy said (Or, something like that)

I added, We'll lay in wait at the entrance and jump him when he comes shopping for a mansion, and he won't know what hit him when our 3 beautiful young avatars approach with our womanly wiles.

Then we will drug him when it's our turn to have "special time" with hims so he won't remember or know what didn't happen, and later tell him how great he was so we won't REALLY have to be with him that way. Emma suggested. (I think she said)

And so the plan progressed. Emma graciously offered to sacrifice the master bed and bedroom to myself, Kathy and the "rich old dude" and take one of the spare bedrooms, to which Kathy and I secretly bemoaned we didn't think of that first. Although Kathy and I were very pleased with the 2 spacious his and her's closets in the master bedroom but wondered where the "rich old dude" would put his things though. All three of us dreamed of laying around in the luxurious sun room (which Emma advised she thought rich people surely called it a conservatory, but then Kathy said that was only in Clue) with a good book and some tea in our spare time while "rich old dude" would surely be napping.

"Rich old dude" was not coming along to the mansion demo area fast enough so we began exploring our contact lists for possibilities. Cougar Kathy has a few very young prospects on the back burner and so I requested she ask one of them if they have a "rich old dude" grandfather they might contribute to our cause.

We really thought this was a good plan, I mean wouldn't any sane "rich old dude" be thrilled to have the 3 of us easy ladies, but I won't say free, as in the end this would be a very costly venture for any "rich old dude". This was all happening at the very cool Prefabulous homes demo area. Apparently all 3 of us ladies like to shop for homes, furnishings, clothes, well anything. And somehow we ended up at this high quality and impressive home store.

Meanwhile Emma had been macking on one of Eliza Wierwight's homes. All three of us LOVE Elia's furniture and decor and she is known for her amazing art in SL. We also checked out this place Emma eventually ended up buying as ironically it went on sale this week for a limited time.

We also checked out The Abiss beach house. I was the first one in the hot tub and we all enjoyed the many built in poses too such as in the closet : )

Later in the evening Emma excitedly emailed me soon after we had all said goodnight because it was so late and she told me Eliza had just put her Christmas garland for sale.. we met each other over there again and snatched some up. Ironically we both had been complaining to each other how we so wanted Eliza's garland that she had all over her store but not for sale. Then wallah.. it went on sale for us.

Now you might ask yourself why three young ladies were out house and fine furniture shopping all evening instead of looking some more for Mr. Right of the mansion sort.. well.... I was on a mission to find some nice furniture for my latest adventure. It's still in the making and top secret but I will say it comes with a little winter wonderland area with tons of props and poses and fun things to play on. And I'll give a hint... it starts with "Art" and ends with "Gallery". Yup.. and it will have a little something for and from everyone I think. Soooo, I'll keep the blog posted. Meanwhile if there are any "rich old dudes" reading this... give me a call.

And about the "rich old dude" thing .. none of us are really that shallow, we were actually just joking about that .... sort of.

(And to think I blogged about trying hard to find nice homes and furniture in SL about a year ago, and now there are so many nice things--as a side note I am still in a LaGalleria home with some of their furnishing, which I love)
