I went to the theater and watched Ready Player One today in 3D Imax and LOVED it! Then I came home and popped into Sansar to see how it's going there as I heard they have a Ready Player One area. They do, and that's cool. I don't have VR at this point, so it's a little harder for me than some I guess. After that I checked out the live music club "Arena", I visited the beach, then a lazer skyscraper build. I visited the Skye forest, 114 Harvest, and Lily's Room. That was enough for one day. I will say Lilly's Room is very cute.. make sure you make it through the maze and seen what happens in the end. Of course Sansar is still in the making so my av doesn't look the greatest either, but the graphics are great and I enjoyed my exploring.

I decided to check out Sansar again today for a little while. It's in beta stage so anyone can visit. There are quite a few interesting places to see and many more in progress now. In spite of the fact that I do not have a VR headset, I could still move around and enjoy the place. Graphics and sounds are great. I can't figure out how to change lighting, click on things to sit or dance or anything like that, I couldn't find any other people to chat with, and my av is NOT so hot. But that's beta for you. It's a little hard on my computer too and I could tell it was running hot after a while of exploring. I took many more photos this time in to share and left my av in them for perspective. If you'd like to see them larger just click on them and it will take you to the pic in Flickr where they are big or you can make them bigger. Sansar has a lot to offer but it still has a long way to go to live up to my SL experiences. I think it is getting there though, but I might have to invest in a better computer and VR headset at some point. I won't leave my SL behind though and it looks like LL is still very dedicated to SL too with some upgrades and investments of their own into Second Life so have no fear all you SL die hards.. check out this just in....https://community.secondlife.com/blogs/entry/2237-celebrating-14-years-of-sl-with-investments-in-its-future/

Here are some videos if you are interested, but I will say the in-person experience is even better. They do a good job filming though and you can get the idea. Youtube here:https://www.youtube.com/user/SuperMango73/videos
I headed over for some more racing tonight. The racers seem to love it and it's fun to watch too.

This LEA AIR (Linden Endowment for the Arts, artist in residence) sim that will run through the end of the year is by Diiar Vader Shippe with assistance from Darth Revan (royal.shippe):and the Monarchs. I ran into Darth Revan who told me "There are 4 choreographers on this one but each of us have two sets and 1 has one", ...choreographers as in builders and designers for the sets that include special effects, particles and everything. I caught a pic of Diiar and Darth Revan. I tred to hold my exploration back for the shows though so just took a few quick pics for the blog. There should be at least 3 show with the first two listed above. This is a cool full sim and I look forward to exploring more and enjoying the special shows.
And here is the LEA sim info. for this and the other LEA sims: http://lindenarts.blogspot.com/
The long awaited UNIA by Madpea opened today, well yesterday, but it was today when I started. Yes, it's addicting. Yes, it's challenging. Yes, it's filled with great scenery, animations, mystery, special fx and builds/parts by great artists like Bryn Oh and Rebeca Bashly etc. as promised. I've been at it a few hours now and I've just figured out it's going to be a few more.. another day, because I have to get some sleep then work too.
As usual you buy a hud (3 hud/startup levels to chose from) and tp into the the "game" if you want to call it that. From there you have to just be like a curious explorer clicking everything, remembering clues, picking up objects, eventually fighting things if you want to, and basically trying to figure things out. I would highly recommend checking out the "how to play" link above before forging ahead. It will save you time and frustration in the long run.
TWICE I got sorta got stuck and staff in the group told me I was actually in almost "end places" that were close to the end and I had managed to miss some things/places that would successfully get me to those spots in the correct order in which to advance successfully. So besides being killed repeatedly and sort of having to kind of start over I was doing ok. And lets just say you don't want to be sent to the empty barn. It's like a time out and you've basically been killed. But lucky us, we get to just go right back in with all our accumulated stuff after our time out.
So my hud is full of tools/things I'll need to continue on. I have an idea of what I need to do yet and where to go to do it, and I have a great start. Just before I felt I needed to quit for the night/morning, I ran into an old friend Sugar Silverstar who was back for her new day to continue playing. She summed up how I feel about it when she said, "Sugar Silverstar: god I love it. I'm torn between wanting to solve it and not wanting it to finish." And when I asked, she said I could quote her. So my game will be prolonged as it's bed time for me now.. well a few hours ago. I'll leave you with some photos though.... enjoy the game. It's great : )
Just when you think you have it covered, you find the white hall.. and so so many doors with worlds more to explore and figure out.. hehe.. I'm loving it.
BURIED : Interactive & Immersive Grid-wide point & click adventure game with prizes from top designers
Here is another great MadPea "must see" hunt/game experience.
(Kiana Writer, MadPea Developer)
This morning I logged in to SL to find some great news from MadPea. A photo I had submitted in their pre-game "Greed" photo contest for their new hunt/game "BURIED" won one of the coveted 5 early entry and free hud spots. 2 hours before their latest game/hunt "BURIED" opened today at 12pm SLT I dropped in to the above location along with 4 fellow photo contest winners and a few other early entry winners from another contest they had to find Kiana Writer and a few MadPea staff, get the hud (which normally costs 300L) and we were off to a fast start. The early entry winners were:
AngelicWarrior Commander
MrsSeren Resident
Kara Trapdoor
Marina Breen
Chrystal Wylder
Asa Vordun
Vivena Resident
Raina Jewell
Jessy Cinderflame
Koosh Lilliehook
Etrone Resident
A couple of ladies and I hopped in the first boat out and I snapped some pics.
We scrambled around the islands knowing we had a 2 hour lead before the masses dropped in (initial sim only holds 20 ppl at a time) possibly creating lag or grey, or (God forbid) not be able to get back in if needed. I took in as much as I could before progressing to the grid wide sims/hunt part which you have to figure out how to get from the islands. I ended up taking a few notes based on my experience with past Madpea hunts and knowing how detailed and challenging but fun they can be. I will try not to give too much away here. The group does that in time. But I will say, be sure your wireframe is working and you know how to use it. A few of us early entries continued on for a while before I took a break to go to the SL Live Radio show my friend Sonicity Fitzroy dj's Sunday afternoons. That also gave me some great tunes and time to blog this to. I know the next batch of Peas are scrambling around now as the group is in a frenzy with information and questions.
Upon successful completion of the game participants get 25 prizes. There are a few things at the beginning you can buy for nominal prices to aid in the quest. Thus far I have not needed the extra items, although the flashlight might have come in handy already a couple of times. This promises to be a fun and exciting hunt. I did 7 locations before taking my break. You can see the sponsor list on the web site and be assured they made some fantastic hiding places. Those of you, like me, who like to explore will be very pleased.
You can see my winning photo over at MadPea. I think it was a great concept but not so great pic relatively speaking as I'm no photoshopper, so guess it won on the idea : ) Thank goodness as I loved my early entry experience!

I was seeing red... almost ALL red. Last night Club Nine (previously blogged here:ClubIXHere.) hosted THEREDPARTY in support of Costa Rica Sims Broadway Cares/Equity Fight AIDS Fundraiser, one of the nation's leading industry-based, nonprofit AIDS fundraising and grant-making organizations. DJ Bren Betts provided the tunes while a consistent crowd of over 50 attendees danced the night away. The club colors were changed to red and almost all the attendees wore mostly red. The Club Nine Go-Gos took over the bar as usual. Throughout the evening donations could be made directly through the Red Ribbon kiosk or one could bid on silent auction items including: A pre-release exclusive from Tres Beau and one-of-a-kind recolorings from AddiCt, LELUTKA and NSD. 100% of the highest bids will be donated to Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS. I was there quite a while but had to leave a bit before the end, so missed the winners. It was great to see so much red, one of my favorite colors and all for a good cause.
