Frolic Mills, former owner of The Best of Second Life, has self-published this kindle book, "Fabulous!" available on Amazon at the reasonable price of $8.99 RL$. The book is edited by my friend and RL author of many books and publications, Sonicity Fitzroy, and the forward is by Persia Bravin, former BOSL CEO and the BOSL magazine editor. Most people in SL will recognize these names. Mr. Mills was very active in SL with BOSL initiating and running the annual Ms. Virtual World pageants, actively involved in modeling instruction, running the annual BOSL Fashion Week, Fashion For Life, many many amazing fashion shows and competitions, RFL, various events, and the Partyticulars. He is somewhat of an SL icon.

Inspiration Book Party
Visit here: slurl.com/secondlife/Talamasca/94/68/21
Persia Bravin invited me to the all white attire Inspiration book party that was held Sunday July 22nd.. The party was to celebrate the official launch of the SL interior design and trend forecast publication, INSPIRATION BOOK that is published 4 times a year. The non-commercial book is created by a group of people who love SL design and who give of their time for free. It's an absolutely beautiful publication.
The party was hosted at the home area of Dirk Talamasca that was remodeled by Neva Crystall and Wendy Xeno the makers of Gilmour/Humanoid and Neva River (previously blogged). They have a great eye for detail and the sim is amazing to play in. I went back for some pics with a friend. This is another sim that is great with windlight and has fun sweet poses all around. But hurry and visit as I believe Dirk has opened his home to the public on a limited time only and it is an amazing sim well worth rushing over to see.

Persia Bravin's Rez Day & May Costa Rica Influential Party
Sunday, May 29th I attended a party for one of SL's favorite media sweetie's, Persia Bravin! She was celebrating her selection as the May Costa Rica Influential and also her rez day. I think everyone in SL knows Persia, so I won't go on and on about all her accomplishments and tons of things she is involved in, as it's all over the web and I've mentioned her here several times before as well. I just wanted to save and post a few pics from her party here. Her Influential interview is here: http://costaricasims.com/sims-tier-prims/view-by-prims-tier/commercial-parcels/2516-costa-rica-sims-may-influential-honors-one-of-the-busiest-women-in-second-life-ms-persia-bravin.html or direct link here: PersiaHere.
The party was a smash with over 70 attendees, full at times, and constantly hopping with dj tunes by Mikee Gemini Ghost who was actually celebrating his RL birthday that day as well. It's notable Persia's actual rez day was June 1st (I think, that's close anyway). It's also notable that Blackbarbie Bravin, another of BOSL's gems who also helps run the magazine along with Persia celebrates her rez day the day after Persia, so wish them both a good one!
The beach themed party Sunday was mostly casual and swimwear at a spot in Alajuela, Costa Rica sim. Some of the many attendees were Claus Uriza, Candylicious Forster, LaPiscean Liberty, Ivy Maverick, Leila Roddenham, Dividni Shostakovich, Kikki Snowpaw, Lacy Muircastle and many others. I had a great time, but had to go RL, so I snapped some pics, wished Persia well, danced a few songs and said my hellos and goodbyes. It must be the season for BOSL rez days... see Frolic Mills post late May here: http://karasecondlife.blogspot.com/2011/05/bosl-ceofounder-frolic-mills-4th-rez.html track directly here: FrolicHere.
Darn I missed the mud wrestling!

Persia Bravin hits The Late Show today
My friend Persia Bravin was a guest on The Late Show with Numbers Rossini. Persia is a RL journalist who is CEO of BOSL radio, and is a SL media mogul in print, radio and TV. To me she seems best known for being a very respected hard worker with a super sexy voice that guys and gals alike can appreciate and I don't know anyone that meets her who is not very impressed with her style and charm. The Late Show is in David Letterman style and started with a top 15 list of things to not say when stopped by a cop, as Numbers had been this week. The show started a little late due to technical problems and around that time I had some audio technical problems myself, so I didn't get to stay for the rest of the show, but Persia linked the video to her Flickr. Persia talked about her history in media in SL and she has been a very very busy woman. I will put the link here for anyone who is interested, as it is actually a very entertaining show. Check it out. PersiaLateShowHere.
