BOSL INTERNATIONAL FASHION WEEK BEGINS TOMORROW, OCTOBER 11TH
The press release in part states:
"The Best of SL Magazine and BLVD Fashion House Models will present the BOSL International 2014 Fashion Week beginning tomorrow, Saturday, October 11th and run through Saturday, October 18th. The week's theme will be "A Night at the Movies" and some of the best of Hollywood films.
Celebrating BOSL's anniversary and the introduction of BOSL Emporia, the remodeled retail area and event venue, the launch show will feature designs from Ever An' Angel, the 2015 Miss Virtual World candidates will be presented on Sunday, October 12th, A Hot and Steamy movie theme will be presented on Friday, October 17th and the finale show will be dedicated to the National Alliance on Mental Illness honoring the memory of the late actor and comedian, Robin Williams. The theme will be based on the famous movie “Aladdin.” The other shows will be a mixture of the films themes.
Following the finale show, there will be a party with music provided by SL Live.

BOSL Fashion Week is finally here again and I always look forward to these impressive events that not only showcase some of SL's best fashion but also the premiere artist builds, sets and effects. Fashionistas come out in groves dressed to impress and this is always a great opportunity to enjoy a show and get some good shopping ideas, socialize at the fun after parties, and mingle with friends in some very cool settings. The Best of Seconf Life CEO/owner, Mr. Frolic Mills announced, "Today we pay tribute to a wonderful artist. A woman of great talent that helped shape our virtual If you open Squinternet Larnia's profile, you will see that she still has "Winner of BOSL Award 2011" - and I well remember when she opened an IM to me that day and said, "OMG Frolic I am so happy, I am crying" He said, Squinter, if you are watching, this is for you. We love you and celebrate your accomplishments today. We won't forget.
She lived her life with perseverance and commitment, loved tightly, with fierce passion, fought when needed and forgave when expected and sometimes when it was least expected. Boulevard Model Management models chose to commemorate Squinternet by mixing and matching her designs to give back to Donna Flora their unique interpretations of the design line.

Today's show was in a rainy set complete with free umbrellas for the attendees, many of whom popped them out creating even more ambiance to this already amazing set. The pics can show all but hardly give the feel for how fun it was. I was late in so took some last minute shots including one of myself. The cats of course were some of the fun accessories by KittyCats, Callie Cline.

I went to visit the Donna Flora Memorial Gardens after the BOSL Fashion Week showcasing her products. Today I attended the initial 2011 BOSL Fashion Week show with set by Bryn Oh and designs by GIZZA. First of all everyone knows I love GIZZA designs and you can see the outfits in the pics. But one of the things I really enjoy about fashion week is the presentation. Bry Oh did it in grand style setting the standards high for the rest of the week. The audience filled before the show started and attendees were seated in shopping carts of all things! It was great fun and the comments about cart races and getting pushed around showed everyone was really enjoying this seating. Meanwhile large blocks were dropping regularly, well irregularly from the sky sometimes in large groups and other times singularly often even landing on people but soon to disappear for new random rounds of dropping blocks. I wish I had flipped on my fraps for a video. THEN to top it off Bryn made a changing stage/runway that must have been the first of it's kind. If you have seen the Linden Lab Avatar games the movement of the runway stairs was of similar design in that the models had to walk up and down winding ever changing staircase to get to the stopping destination. They all maneuvered this wonderfully, but I had to wonder if it was difficult, for as they walked the stairs in front and behind them were constantly moving, dropping out from under them etc. The stairs themselves were black and white colored resembling piano keys. BOSL Fashion Week 2011- September 18-25th I write for BOSL magazine's Events & Society section each month so I try to keep on top of their events and all things BOSL, but the annual fashion week is something anyone in SL should pay attention to, even if a person is not totally into shopping and fashion (not sure who that might be but ok). The fashion week is notorious for the most amazing presentations. Last year had impressive sets, special effects, props, and outfits presented in a very entertaining manner. Cutting edge sets by premier architects, top models, RL and SL fashion designers, I can't wait.
