The City by Betty Tureaud, LEA27

Visit here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/LEA27/66/79/1502

Today was the grand opening of Betty Tureaud's "The City" at LEA27.  This very cool large city build with sculpture, flying planes, and amazing colors is very impressive but be sure to adjust settings to see all the beautiful colors.  You need Medium Ultra High settings with Projector light.  There was a large crowd and I saw up to 75 at one point with Ultraviolet providing music and Betty on hand for a great opening event.  The usage of 4 sims for perspective proves there is art in open spaces, said LEA host LaPiscean Liberty about the sim.  Betty suggested exploring in the city and clicking some houses for links too.  The landing is a airplane teleport and there is a poem provided and meaning for the sim I will let you explore for yourself!   I also found playing with windlights for different effects was very fun.  Check it out at the link above.

LEA27: The Void

The Void by Kara 2
The Void at LEA27 is by Storm Septimus

I headed off exploring to LEA27 and was in for an interesting surprise with Storm's "The Void".  Once again the suggested windlight is pretty dark which while that makes it harder for me to see, explore, and take photos, I'm sorta digging it.  It seems more and more immersive artists are making dark builds (see Bryn Oh).  The darkness and the really scary music this sim offers adds to the already Ominous ambiance.

In Storms profile it's summed up pretty well: "A walk through the Darkness...
Minimal Sim designed and built by Storm Septimus, open till July on LEA27.
            Dedicated to the sleepless.

ღ I did my part , now its all yours..
                               and thank you!
to those who don't need naming ღ "

The Void by Kara 2The Void by Kara 2There is actually a good note at the landing that explains about the exhibit, suggested windlight, helpful hints etc.  My main suggestion is to be sure to click around and be sure you make it to the ground level and even under water.  I took a friend who thought they had finished when they were still in the main landing area.  Follow the glowing cables and click on things to pose and teleport.  There are a lot of hearts and keys.  I cheated and bumped up my lights for most of these pictures as you can't see very far ahead of you in the intended lighting, but do use the suggested lights as it's very fun that way.  The note states it's original intent is to simulate that in- between sleep and waking state of an exhausted person who has trouble sleeping, but the creator would like for each to take away from it what one feels or experiences about it individually.  There are informative signs along the way. Enjoy.  It's weirdly cool.

Oceania Planetary Park Skating Today

Visit here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/LEA27/128/128/22

The Oceana Planetary Park over at LEA27 is still open until Dec. 31 which ends with this round of LEA exhibits.  The exhibit is a walking tour of our planet's solar system.  You can read more about it here: http://oceaniaplanetarypark.blogspot.com/
Just for today Vaneesa Blaylock and/or whatever her name/names are, hosted a fun skating party where skaters could skate in sync... always fun.  The usual suspects or alts showed up for a good time.  I took a few pics as I always love to see the avies do things in sync.  The skating was just for today, but be sure to check out the exhibits before they end.  "The park was created as an educational experience but the intent is to inspire a sense of wonder about the universe outside of our home planet."

LEA27, Symbiont Host by Sea Mizen

Visit here: http://slurl.com/secondlife/LEA27/187/148/23
This is a very cool interactive exhibit rich in color, details, and meaning.  I won't give away the fun, but be sure to pick up a note card with explanations to each section and click things to get fun freebies.  This exhibit just opened this weekend and made for a great explore.  I also ran into Sea Mizin the creator and Gina Broono, so got some good photos.  Be sure to check this one out.

Some fun sections to explore include the main landing which has a beautiful overall lookout view and the freebies to pick up such as skin, note cards, head cold, and other items.  Next there are the Safe Zone Tunnel, the Sertoli Cells, the Blue Virus Top, the Blue Virus Interior, ERVborn tree of life and the Gears of Evolution landing points. Have fun.
